Works for combination skin
This was my first time trying a cleansing balm, I read the ingredient list and was pretty happy with them. I have combination skin (extremely oily forehead) and after 3 uses I can say it hasn't clogged my pores or caused breakouts. It has a slight scent to it but it didn't bother me. It comes with a small spatula when you pop open the lid. The packaging is very sturdy. Overall, I will continue to use this balm

Nice cleansing balm
I like this. cleansing balm I used to use coconut oil, but it was too greasy. This is a good combination of soap and oil. Easy to apply, smells good, nice texture on skin. Applied regular water-based cleanser after. My face felt much cleaner but not in a stripped way.

Wonderful texture
I love how clean this product is. The way they have a lid to seal with with a scooper is awesome. It doesn’t smell but it removed my makeup so well and my skin feels so soft afterwards. Love it.

I absolutely love this product. You don’t have to use much, it removes all the makeup and leaves no residue. Comes off easily with water so you don’t have to scrub and irritan your skin. Ever since I stated using it my skin feels softer and overall healthier.

Not My Favorite Clensing Balm
I have been a longtime fan of clensing balms so I was eager to give the Madeca Derma Botanic balm a try. Before using any beauty product, I check the packaging and expiration dates. I was a bit disappointed to see that the expiration date of this product was just about 6 month from the day I received it. Most beauty products have a shelf life much longer than that especially given the 4.1 ounce quantity. A small amount of this balm goes a long way so I suspect that if I continued to use it, I wouldn’t get through the whole jar before its expiration date. I also am not a fan of the scent. I’m not sure what to liken it to but fortunately it dissipates relatively quickly and it doesn’t linger on the skin. With other balms, I was able to warm them up by rubbing my hands together and applying it to my face then hop in the shower to get clean from head to toe before bed. I have found that this balm needs more rubbing with a cloth to remove my non-waterproof mascara, it doesn’t just melt away in the shower. I have also noticed that my toner pads are much dirtier with this product and my skin is drier and not as soft as other brands. The added step of having to use a cloth to remove my makeup is enough to keep me from using it especially when there are better products on the market.

Adore this Balm
Melts the day right off of your face and easily removes eye makeup too. Skin feels balanced and fresh after use. Smells like a spa.

Wow
I love this balm—and this is coming from someone who would never have thought to put oil on my face. I have always had really oily skin but now in my mid 40s, my skin has changed to more combo/normal. I've been looking for a little more moisturizing elements for my routine to replace the drying ones I needed to control the oil slick of my younger years. I've used micellar water for makeup removal but wanted to try this out as a first step in double cleansing. It has a light scent and does soften to an oil consistency in your palm. I find a little goes a long way, so this tub will last a while. I rub on face for a few minutes and then rinse off As you add water to your skin, the product turns milky—not soapy per se-- but definitely changes. After rinsing, I then use my cerave face bar. However, I did do a test to see how thoroughly this removed my makeup. After using the first time, I rinsed, then swiped a cotton pad with micellar water over my face. It was clean. So, I feel confident it removes makeup for me. I don't wear waterproof or heavy foundations, so your results may be different. I will point out it also removes my makeup+suscreen formulas. My skin is also acne prone but this has not given me any issues.
