Cheapest ultralight quilt available in the UK
If you're looking at this product, you're probably looking at going ultralight, or lightening your load when hiking. This quilt is made by Aegismax, and weighs in at around 450g, the stuff sack, if you use it adds about 40g. Aegismax use goose down from suppliers in Baoding, which is where many sleeping bag manufacturers source their down. It's probably as ethical as any other similarly sourced bag, but not traceable down like EE/Katabatic/Cumulus or other cottage manufacturers. It's a slightly strange translucent colour/design, where you can see the feathers inside. Some people say it smells a little when it first arrives, and needs airing out a little. There's even a little card included to this effect. Mine had no discernible smell. The important facts are that it costs less than £100, it weighs only 450 grams, I've used it down to 5 Celsius without issue. With a good sleeping pad and thermals it should be good to zero. It will pack down to a small cylinder, around the size of a 1 litre bottle. The first ten uses saw a degree of feather loss, and that has now stopped. The baffles are sewn through, and some people say that makes it colder at those points. I sleep reasonably warm, and have had no issues at all.Ultralight quilt cheap, or pay more for traceable, ethical down, in a better colour combination!Edit: June 2020, still happy with my quilt, however the current price of £110 is starting to make it less of a good deal. The cheapest Cumulus quilt is around £175, and the quality and traceable down are a lot better. Can't recommend it above £100, so I've dropped a star off my rating.Edit 2: January 2021, at £140 this is no longer a viable purchase.

Very lightweight and warm
First of all, this sleeping bag (quilt really) is not for everybody. It is an ultralight product and it comes with compromises, mainly the fabric it super thin and delicate, practically transparent, and occasionally a feather may try to escape (nothing to worry about). However, it is very warm for its weight, it has not failed me, even when close to 0 degrees C. Good value for money compared to more premium products.I was sceptical about the sewn baffle design, but I did not notice any cold spots in practice.
