CPB is beautifully organized and presented in such a logical manner that even the most hopeless beginner (me) would not walk away without saying 'oh, that's why' a hundred time over. If you've ever sat at the chessboard at the end of the game, and thought what the heck just happened to me, this is the book for you.

Clearly and readily presented.

I found that this book gets right to the meat of things and shows you how to be a better player. Other books tend to get lost but this shows you in easy steps the fun of playing chess. great for kids and those of us that just need some pictures to understand.

Well organized and well illustrated. Excellent starter book, but also a really great reference for club level players.Coiled binding allows it to lie flat while you play the extracts, etc. An excellent value and a great gift to a young chess player.

This is a very good book to have for players up to intermediate level. It helps in understanding the game and is written in easy to read style with lot of illustration.
