Works very well with oil Winsor & Newton oil paints
Works very well with oil Winsor & Newton oil paints. The smell is very faint, and is tolerable. It is very useful for both diluting the paint and cleaning the brushes.

Works on vintage oil paintings
I recently bought a beautiful seascape in oil from Salvation Army and noticed that the whites on the painting had yellowed, there was no smoke smell, so could have been kitchen grease, not sure. As it’s an older painting, I decided to try to clean it myself with this product. I couldn’t believe the amount of dirt and gunk that was coming off of the paint. Just use a soft cotton cloth that’s lint free and won’t grab onto texture and gently go over each section until most of the dirt is gone. Don’t spend too much time cleaning or you risk damaging the varnish or dissolving the paint. The painting is so much clearer and fresher looking now, but still has its vintage look. I also used it on the second thrift store painting of flowers that I have. The painting wasn’t as dirty as the seascape, but I still got some dirt off of the surface. The close up is before, the whites were yellow-brownish and the overall painting had a yellowed look. I’m pretty happy with this product. It does have a pretty strong smell initially, but it’ll dissipate over time.

Very handy to have
I do a lot of coloring pages. It has been hard to get a decent blue sky. I watched a Youtube video that showed how this worked and I had to try it. Whoa, I was So happy to see my splotchy skies blend into one beautiful color. It really works best if you have several layers of colored pencil down. Wax type. A small paintbrush dipped in this and brushed on will kinda melt the pencil colors and smoothly blend them. It looks like it is well painted afterwards. Great product as a good price.

So far, I think it's good
I bought this along with the Distilled Turpentine to use on a oil painting inherited by my grandparents. My grandparents sadly were smokers their whole entire lives so nicotine is on everything they owned. It was hard to get pictures without a glare or in the right light. I'll say the before the cleaning, the painting didn't have a nicotine color to it. It wasn't sticky. I started with the cleaner first. I worked in little sections. I had to use cotton balls instead of pads cause my store didn't have the round pads. Every time I looked at the cotton ball, it turned dark gray. So I worked in that area until there was no more gray on the cotton balls. Once I was all done with the whole picture, use the distilled Turpentine. You won't have instructions on the cleaner to follow up with the Turpentine so be sure to read the Amazon page of the product. There was no instructions as to how long to let it sit if it needed to sit or to not go past a certain time in one area of the painting. So if you aren't a art professional like me, you'll be uncertain with what little instructions, little tips and such there are. My painting isn't shocking results but I think that's cause it wasnt that badly covered in nicotine. The painting hasn't had a full 24 hrs of drying after using both chemicals yet but there is a slight sticky feel. Sticky feeling like maybe how it feel on opening a package of some resealable package. Not strong sticky but a light sticky. I wish I could compare it to what it's like. So I'm hoping that goes away after a bit because I made sure there was no left over chemicals on the painting. I don't want any sticky feeling to make dust adhere to it over time. So for now, I'm happy with it. I'll update in time to let you know if I'm OVER THE MOON happy with this product. The plans are to add a ghost and such to the painting to make it more of my style. In the pics I posted, the BEFORE is on the left and AFTER on the right. In one of the pics, there's a white spot- that is a glare from my light. Not the chemical! In all I'm happy but just wish there was more instructions, tips, etc.

Works great!! Very relieved to find this product!
A great product! I bought this painting at an estate sale and didn't notice the smoke damage til outside. The second picture, with very visible horizontal brown lines, is when I first brought the painting home- no cleaning yet. The third picture is after several rounds of wiping it down with cotton cloths, warm water, and a drop of Dawn dish soap. The lines are much better, but still visible. I researched products that could help and found this painting cleaner and also bought the distilled turpentine to use after, as recommended by other users. I shook the painting cleaner periodically and used on cotton pads and wiped the painting down. I couldn't find clear instructions on how to use but this worked well and let me apply little bits at a time to ensure it wasn't damaging. I could see the brown patches disappearing immediately after wiping different pieces of the painting. The first pic is immediately after using the picture cleaner. After I let this dry for a bit, I applied the distilled turpentine with cotton cloths to remove any cleaner residue and I think this helped remove any chalkiness. The last pic is a close up of cleaner used on Right side and no cleaner on the Left side of photo. The color of the blue changed so much! The painting looks like it's in a different season from when we began. Highly recommend and will keep both products on hand in my vintage restoring tools! To note: no instructions on bottle and a very strong scent (like a pine sol) to the cleaner. Smell lingers for several hours.

Cleaned an oil painting effectively
This product works well but you will need to test the pressure you need to remove the grime from your specific painting. Go slow with increasing pressure. I eventually used a soft toothbrush that cleaned the art from 1939 beautifully.

Product was leaking
This was delivered in a box that was well-wrapped. There was filler paper and the product was inside another plastic bag which I assume was for possible spillage. In my case, there was spillage which means some of the product was wasted which is a bummer.
