An Introduction to beading
Excellent general introduction to the many ways you can use beads.Although the book covers a lot of different techniques, the instructions and illustrations are clear and easy to follow. So if you are venturing into the field of beads, but not yet sure what you enjoy doing, you can experiment with the various techniques and then if you want to concentrate on just one, such as embroidery, you can go ahead and buy a more specific book.It certainly helped me decide what I prefer doing.

Just alright
I bought this book in conjunction with the Jewellery and Beading guide for dummies because of the lack of colour images in the dummies book, and wanted to build up my collection of books in this area. While the book is in colour and has illustrated techniques, there is something about it that does not appeal to me. It could be something as simple as the font, I just found it not as appealing to read and therefore not as easy to follow as the dummies guide. Granted, there is the essentials section, the techniques section, etc but sadly I just do not use it as much as I would have liked.

Excellent book
Even though I been jewellery making for some time, it's great to have all those little useful hints and tips in one place. After all, you perfect a technique, move onto something else, and six moths later don't necessarily remember all the intricacies involved.
