Beta, SE solar powered automatic robot pool skimmer, reliability, 100% has been great we live in the south where the sun is abundance, I’ve only had to clean it wipe it down a few times, but it runs all day long every day, the power converts from the solar panel and it works great stays running 24 seven, covers the entire pool skims all the top stuff so if there’s leaves which we live without a screen enclosure, so that’s great when the wind blows leaves blow into the pool and this thing just eats them up. Battery life is great it’s sustainable, and the coverage is awesome. The covers every point of our pool. We have an inground 20‘ long x 16‘ wide. It’s very stable. It doesn’t require any kind of app etc. it does come with a remote control, but we have not had to use it yet because it literally just needs to be taken out and the basket needs to be clean once in a while when it gets a little full of leaves, we dump it clean it with a hose. We put it back in shut the glass turn it on drop it in the water easily and it goes. Honestly, it’s as easy as taking it out of the box, letting it charge for a da5 if you’re gonna do it by sun…..and/or you can use the charging cord that it comes with it, charge it for 5 to 6 hours, turn it on and off it goes. I absolutely love it, and I definitely recommend it, especially to anyone who has an open pool without a cage, wherever you are if you have any kind of trees with leaves and any kind of wind, simple and/or rain storms like we get in the south or strong winds this thing really saves you a ton of work and time, iTS stability yes it’s very stable! & suitability YES 🙌🏼 It’s a GREAT investment. We got ours on a sale, but still paid $285. I think the normal price is $318 regardless it’s worth every penny. We’ve owned ours for almost a year now. Our pool is a dark pool black gunite, it attracts the sun every day so it easily runs 24 seven I’ve taken a photo and like I said it’s cruising out in the pool right now, I definitely 💯 recommend Betta SE solar powered automatic robotic pool surface skimmer

I don't even know where to begin describing how amazing this little robot is! A little over two years ago, I moved into my first home in Florida with an in-ground pool. Unfortunately, the pool isn't screened, and there's a large magnolia tree nearby. It only took about a month of coming home every day to find leaves floating in the water before I realized I needed a better solution. That solution turned out to be the **Betta SE Solar Powered Skimmer**. For the past two years, this little robot has been running virtually 24/7, keeping my pool remarkably clean. I rarely have to pull out the skimmer net anymore because it catches about 95% of the leaves, bugs, and other debris before they ever become a problem. Over those two years, I did manage to break the small white feet that help keep it from getting hung up on the pool steps. I contacted Betta, fully expecting to have to buy replacements since I was well outside the warranty period. Instead, they sent me three complete sets at no charge—no questions asked. That's the kind of customer service that creates loyal customers. Today, while cleaning the unit, I noticed one of the guide wheels had fallen off because I'd lost the retaining pin. I reached out to Betta again to see if I could purchase just the replacement pin. They quickly pointed me to their parts store, where I was able to order a complete set of guide wheels and pins for only **$14.99**. It was inexpensive, easy, and exactly what I needed. The durability of this little robot has been incredible, and Betta's customer service has been just as impressive. Ironically, during the same two-year period, I've had to replace my rechargeable robot that cleans the pool floor and walls **twice**. I only wish Betta made a robot for the bottom and sides of the pool as well—because after my experience with this skimmer, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. If you're tired of constantly skimming leaves and debris from your pool, I can't recommend the Betta SE Solar Powered Skimmer enough. It's easily one of the best pool-related purchases I've ever made.

Easy to use. Picks up everything on the surface. This surface skimmer was packaged very well. The instructions were very simple and really not even needed. It is a fairly intuitive machine. You can unpack it, turn it on, and set it in the pool. This would work for 99% of people. If you want to mess around with the remote control features or changing modes, feel free to read the manual. It is easy. At my house I get a lot of sun. My backyard is on the south side of the house, and I am in southern California. This thing charges while it is running all day and does not stop until around 4am. It starts up again about an hour after sunrise. I bought this hoping it would pick up the very small bits of pollen and leaves that float on the surface, and it does just that. It does an amazing job. The basket that collects the debris is a very fine mesh - durable and functional. It picks up everything. Easy to clean. It comes with extendable legs and even longer extensions if you need them. That is to prevent it from getting stuck on a false beach or very shallow area. Those legs would just block the skimmer from going to those areas by bumping into the sides of it. I do not use them; I have a shallow step on one side of the pool that has about three inches of water. This thing floats over it with no issues. I think it drafts around two inches. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. The pool looks so much cleaner without all those little specks of debris floating on the top. Well worth the money.

I wish I could give the Betta SE 10 stars! We have a large, lagoon-shaped in-ground pool and two dogs—a Golden Retriever and a Leonberger—who swim every day. If you’re unfamiliar with Leonbergers, they’re giant, heavily shedding, double-coated dogs, so the amount of fur that ends up in our pool is unbelievable. Before buying the Betta SE, we were spending at least an hour after every swim session manually skimming fur and debris from the water. Our skimmer baskets and filters were constantly clogging, putting extra strain on our pool pump. This little robot has been a complete game-changer. It runs all day and continuously collects an incredible amount of fur and debris without getting clogged or tangled around the propellers. Our pool stays noticeably cleaner, our filters aren’t being overwhelmed, and we’ve gotten hours of our time back. It isn’t inexpensive, but for us, it has been worth every single penny. If you have a pool and dogs that love to swim—especially large, furry dogs—buy it. You will not regret it!

I’m so impressed with this that I’m writing a review before I hop in the pool to play with my son. I came outside today and the skimmer that we’ve affectionately named “Crumby”, after our robot vacuum, was off with a branch sticking out of it. I cleared the jam, turned the unit off and on, and it proceeded to go back to business as usual. Outside of emptying the basket, I have never made any effort to care for this thing. The first year I had it I took it out of the pool at the end of the season and stored away. Last year, I drained the majority of the water from my pool and left the skimmer in it, but didn’t touch it all winter until I finally cut the liner and pulled the skimmer out this spring. After that, I pressure washed it before opening the pool this year. This thing just keeps on working. I have never had any problem with it and my life has become measurably easier as a result of not having to skim my pool. This with the combination of an underwater robot vacuum and I only ever need to scrub the pool once a month. Easiest pool maintenance ever! The battery life is perfect. I have never had to charge this. The only time that I’ve helped it out was after a hurricane, and I turned it off and put it on my porch to get some sunlight, but that was it. It picks up all of the leaves bugs and debris that floats on the water surface. It keeps my built in pool skimmer cleaner for longer. This has saved many hours of my life for sure. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Again, my boy is in the pool right now and I’m writing this review because it is simply the best!

I rent out my backyard and swimming pool on the Sniffspot.com app to guests with reactive dogs, so keeping my pool free of dog hair between visits is important. Because of my mobility issues and physical limitations, manually skimming the pool after every booking is just not possible, so I decided to try the Betta SE solar-powered robotic surface skimmer. My pool is on the smaller side (15' x 30'), and overall it does a great job collecting dog hair, leaves, bugs, and other floating debris. It has definitely made maintaining my pool much easier. I do have two complaints though. First, it frequently gets stuck under the pool ladder, around the handicap rail, and in front of the pool skimmer. Thankfully, it comes with a remote control, and since I have security cameras overlooking my pool, I can see when it's stuck and free it remotely without having to physically walk outside. My second complaint is the way it has to be removed from the pool. Because of the design, I have to lift it out with both hands but bc of my physical limitations, this is challenging. If I try to remove it with one hand, much of the debris in the basket falls right back into the pool, which is frustrating and counter productive. Overall, it performs well and has been a big help. I like that it's solar powered.

We live in Phoenix AZ where it's very hot in the summer so the swimming pool is our most important oasis we like to use at the end of the day. It is an irregular shaped pool with one coved seating including steps in 3 places and a tanning ledge and I like to keep it CLEAN. We also have neighbors that have tall Silk Oak trees to our West and because we have a prevailing breeze toward the East we get a lot of those terrible type of leaves (the kind that grab onto things like leaves with fingers) in our backyard and pool. I received the Betta SE 2023 on July 7, 23, put it in the pool and away she went! I LOVE THIS THING! It just meanders around cleaning the whole surface and when it gets stuck in any area, after about a minute or so it backs up a few feet then starts forward making a turn at the same time avoiding the trap it was currently. To be honest after observing it for a while I came to understand that even if it's not trapped, it will stop and go backwards then begin forward and turn at the same time so I believe it is programmed into it's logic to do this ever few minutes as a measure to un-trap it and possibly cover more of the pool surface. I really do like this feature very much. It is also has a large basket that is super simple to empty and clean. It's light weight with an easy to grasp handle. Except for the improvement needed (suggested below) it really is the perfect skimmer! IMPROVEMENT NEEDED: One of the feature designs is that it has wheels on the front left and right of the body at the water level which is supposed to keep it from scraping against the wall tile when it touches as it meanders around the pool. If your tile is part of the wall then no problem but if your tile is of an overhang type where the wall is recessed (as our pool is) then the height of the water will have to be raised to about 1/2 inch below that tile for the wheels to touch it or else the body of the skimmer will endure scraping. Because of this I had to buy a special level that would allow me to raise the water to that level but the downside is that now the built-in pool skimmers is almost useless because of the height of the water keeping larger leaves and even small debris from entering due to the lower flow because the water level is so high. The fix would be to redesign the wheel attachment to allow some vertical adjustment. This would be very easy to do, in fact I almost did it myself but before I got that far it suddenly had a malfunction. MALFUNCTION 2 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE: On July 28 exactly 2 weeks after receiving an putting into service I looked out and noticed that the skimmer was not meandering. I looked closer and saw the normally green blinking lights were blinking red. So I took it out of the pool, made sure it was clean, dried it off and put it on my kitchen table to inspect it. I thought maybe the sensor lenses needed cleaning so I carefully clean them and then cleaned the body and looked it over real good. I could not visually see anything broken or out of place so I placed it back into the pool and turned it on. The green lights started blinking and away she went - but that only lasted for about 2 seconds. After the 2 seconds the green lights went dim and then the system shut down. I did this a couple of time in a row with the exact same results. I believe that it has a faulty battery or "bad cell" because being a long time technician that is the way it acts to me. I contacted Amazon support, told them of the problem and was given a decision to either return for credit or wait till Monday where support would call me and help me go through some diagnoses steps. I opted for the refund because I honestly don't have much time this time of the year because of the work I do. I decided to give an overall rating of 4 stars because of the battery problem but not less because they really took good care of me and gave me no hassles, also I really like the unit while it was running - in fact so much that I'm going to use my money to purchase another one hoping that the first one was just a fluke. EDIT: I am adding to the above review now that I have had my new (2nd one) beta for about 6 weeks now (it is 8/28 at the time of this writing and I have UPGRADED from a 4 to a 5. I LOVE THIS THING! Really, it is just the best little skimmer ever. The 1st one I purchased definitely has some issues and I am so glad after returning it that I took the chance and purchased another. This one runs very strong, runs around the pool day and night (flashing pretty green lights) never quitting and never getting stuck - it really operates flawlessly. I'm not saying that the improvement I suggested above would not be welcomed because then I could run my water level using the built in leveler keeping the water about 2 or 3 inches below the lover ledge of the our type hanging tile. But as long as you don't have a hanging tile with lower sharp edge (like ours) or you use a float that is designed to keep the water level high (within an inch of the lower tile edge) then it simply is a pleasure to own and operate this little bot. Cleaning is a breeze, you just unlatch and open the top up, grab the basket handle and dump it in the trash put it back in, close the lid and latch it - very very easy and it keeps my whole pool from getting dirty. I also purchased a Polaris (which is also awsome) but I hardly have to use it at all because this betta does almost all the cleaning work before the debris every sinks below the surface! Really good. TIP! Before you place the skimmer in the pool get some good car type nano wax (with UV protection) and wax the top and sides of it really well. This will help keep the unit looking new. Wax it about every month more or less and it will stay looking great. Otherwise it will fade especially if you're in a hot climate like we are (Phoenix AZ). That's it! I love this thing so glad I purchased it.

Ok, I was super hesitant about this skimmer robot, I thought after I got it that spending $300 plus dollars on it was a waste of money. It sat there in the unopened box for two weeks as I went back and forth on whether I was going to return it or not. I finally decided to take it out of the box and try it out. I have to say, this was the best $300 plus I have ever spent! Even my husband who says I spend money on things I shouldn’t thinks it was a great buy! I love that it is solar, it is virtually maintenance free, other than cleaning it out, which by the way, is very easy. I get in my pool now and it is super clean and free of bugs and leaves. I don’t spend wasted time with my net cleaning the pool before I get in anymore. Not to mention this has to be better on my filter too. Hands down, this was a fantastic purchase. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I’ve had the Betta SE solar pool skimmer running in my in-ground pool for about a month now, and I’m seriously impressed with how much easier it’s made my pool maintenance routine. First off, the solar power is a game-changer. I live in a sunny area, and this little robot just floats around all day collecting leaves, bugs, pollen, and other surface debris — no cords, no charging hassles. On overcast days, the battery still holds up for hours, and just keeps going! What I love: It cleans constantly and quietly — my pool surface looks clean every time I go outside. The basket is easy to remove and clean. It’s surprisingly large and catches both fine and larger debris. No hoses or installation needed — just drop it in and let it go. It handles saltwater well, and the solar panels are solid and waterproof. Minor considerations worth mentioning: It occasionally gets stuck near the skimmer entrance or pool steps. Not often, but enough to mention. I fixed this by adding the included pool noodle near the skimmer to block it from jamming. Doesn’t always clean tight corners or edges — a quick manual skim every few days helps. Price is a bit steep, but worth it if you hate skimming like I do. Overall, the Betta SE is a great investment if you want to spend less time cleaning and more time enjoying your pool. I’d absolutely recommend it, especially for pools that get a lot of leaves or pollen. Just give it some sunlight and let it do its thing! ✅ Would I buy it again? Yes. 🧺 Would I recommend it to a friend? Already have!

This is a wonderful solar powered robot. It does everything my skimmers do but without the electricity bill. My pool has never been so clear of debris and flies. It has a remote control but I just let it do its own thing.

Un'ottimo aiuto! Semplicissimo da usare, fa tutto solo,raccoglie tutto dalla superficie della piscina e quindi non devo più passare con la rete. Mai avuto la piscina così pulita!

Attendu plus de deux mois pour ce commentaire : 12 ans d’epuisette, de Chéri qui râle après les feuilles, le mistral provençal, les arbres les poils d’animaux qui volent les pétales et j’en passe 🫣😅 … et puis ce truc 😳 : Concept archi simple : un filet, une roue, énergie solaire, rien à faire hormis bac à vider de temps à temps. Résultat : jamais eu d’eau aussi claire, aussi peu traitée car plus rien de macére et ne se délite, et surtout jamais eu aussi peu de travail 👌🤣. Plaisir de la baignade et basta !! Le peu qui tombe est toujours aspiré par notre robot de fond que nous avons racheté en même temps car le nôtre HS. Mais si nous avions connu celui de surface avant, nous n’aurions sûrement pas investi autant dans le second dont somme toute, nous ne sommes guère satisfaits. BRAVO pour celui ci en tout cas vraiment. Un seul regret : ne jamais en avoir entendu parler avant !!! Pour info, pas bruyant du tout (petit ronronnement que nous avons vite oublié), pour noys, en place H24, nous ne le sortons jamais 🫣🤷🏻‍♀️😅

Fue la mejor compra que pudiera haber hecho la máquina básicamente limpia la alberca todo lo que está arriba y mantiene limpio la alberca, lo que se caiga y sola se maneja sin tener que hacerle nada más que limpiarla cuando ya está llena está genial
