Works great for HVAC pipe reading
I need to find subcooling from my HVAC, so I brought this one and click on the high side piple, it works well. I compared the temperature reading with few other thermometers, it seems pretty accurate.

Works to get you out of a pinch if you nice one broke
You get what you pay for in HVAC just like with anything else. It will get you out of a pinch and is accurate, but don't expect it to last. It's not built to professional standards

Good temperature clamp for the money
This is a value for the money over Fieldpiece or similar product, seems durable so far, used it and it reads temperature very accurately, they are more compact than expected which is nice when you have a full tool bag

Seems like a great deal
Quality seems pretty good. For a fraction of the price of Fieldpiece ones, I'm optimistic.

Cheap plastic breaks quick
Junk equipment, they work until the handles break from just existing. These are trash for HVAC techs so not get them they will not last more than 2 weeks out in the field. Bite the bullet and pay fieldpiece what they want unfortunately. I have gone through two sets of these in just over a month. I had 1 week off too.

It doesnt worth buying
This thing self destruct in cold climate. I used this in summer in canada it was somewhat ok and worked fine. In winter I went to grab it and it had a huge crack on the handle, I was not able to use it. When I tried it literally shattered in my hand in peices. So it was one season thing. Never buying it again doesnt worth it.

Much easier than using two K wire thermometers
Excellent device and at a great cost. The two clamp thermometers are within 0.1C of my IR thermometer so I’m over the moon and just waiting for the ambient temperature to drop to a level that is suitable to balance the rads on my new heat pump system. I’ve had them clamped on one rad with a switched off system for two weeks and the meter, port one and port two, has shown zero difference consistently. Sorry-looking forward to colder weather so I can get started.

Not accurate
These take 10 minutes to get to their steady temperature and even then they are 6°c out. I have fieldpiece thermocouples and when compared to those which immediately read the correct temperature, this product isnt worth buying
