I got this for my daughter. Where I came from sewing is a pretty basic, second-nature skill. You lost a button you sew it and replace it. You don't send the clothes to Goodwill for such a small reason. And with the planet in crisis, I think we should make an effort for such a small thing. It is all about making time really. fifteen minutes a day can make you learn anything in such a short time, is all about willpower.Anyway, this is such great to have and give away. This particular kit has such a great price tag, it's hard to pass on such a good deal. By the way, my kid loves it, she feels bad she didn't learn younger, but is never late to learn the things you want in life (wink*).By the way, sewing is a skill that most people think is just for women, and this is not the case. This set was perfect for us, except the directions were a bit murky. I had a booklet with instructions for various stitches and between the two we figured everything out. Everything was of good quality and the price was good for everything that's included in the kit.

I’m so impressed with this intro set. All the pieces are quality and the price is excellent. It’s been a long time since I worked on embroidery and this set was easy to follow, fun to do, and definitely instructional.

It has been nearly two decades since I have done any embroidery. My young teen daughter has never done any. We both enjoyed this little kit. I may call it little, but it really is sizable. The hoop and fabric are larger than I expected (the photos and description clearly state this) which is really nice. There is ample room to really learn the stitch. The three numbered squares of fabric progress from easy to more difficult stitches. It is really nice to not only have the pattern but each stitch named. I realized I needed to brush up when I couldn't recall the stitch from its name in a pattern. Working with my daughter as she is learning with this kit has really helped. And the finished pieces serve for reference.The included needles, threader, and floss make this a complete kit to give as a gift or pack along for an unplugged weekend away. We have our own scissors which we used as the ones in the kit are a little lacking.

I have had a lot of fun using this set. It comes with a ring and 3 pre-printed fabric squares stamped with all your basic stitches. It also comes with a color print out with pictures showing how to do each one. I found it easier to go online and watch a quick video, myself. But I have had a lot of fun using this kit to learn my basics again. This would make a great gift. It comes with 9-10 different color threads, a pack of needles and a cute little flower needle threader. This is a nice product and would 100% order this again.

The scissors aren't sharp, needle threaded broke after 2nd use, directions were lousy and used youtube to get a better understanding of what to do.

Good for learning different sticking. Scissors are pointless they do nothing don't even cut paper.
