Scheppach 240V 8-inch Table Top Sawbench with Sliding Side Extension

Firstly you have to put this machine into context, by this I mean it's cheap and cheerful. However don't be deceived by some of the negative feedback comments that have been left on this machine. I'm a retired time served wood machinist who still has all his fingers and trust me when I say that given the price of this machine it's very difficult to fault. Some folk have mentioned that the guides are next to useless and very inaccurate, this is hogwash! If you take the time and care to set the machine up correctly it's perfectly adequate for most peoples needs.Take care when first commissioning the saw to ensure that the blade is completely square and if necessary adjust, something it tells you to do within the instructions. The blade is perfectly adequate and cuts well given the amount of teeth (24) with very little tear out, however I have ordered a 60 tooth blade as I intend do use the machine for some precision cuts of oak and mahogany. Yes the machine is a little noisy, but not any more so than most other machines, be aware that there is no stop brake on the motor when switching off as there might be on some more expensive machines, so watch your fingers if you intend putting them anywhere near the blade immediately after switching off.My advice is to take a good read of the instructions before starting the machine and if you intend to cut any angles or mitres check your guides against a well set sliding bevel, protractor or square just as a professional would and you won't have any problems. I've no wish to disrespect other users of this machine who have stated they've had problems but I'm inclined to think this is more down to operator error than the actual machine itself.Just what do you expect from a machine that only costs a 100 quid!........Well I can tell you this much I'm more than surprised at the quality of this tool and would recommend it to anyone providing they can be bothered to read the very comprehensive instruction book that goes with it.

I was surprised reading how long it took reviewers to set up. How hard can it be? I now know!The instructions are written very poorly and hard to understand which is bad for something as potentially dangerous as this. As mentioned by others, some of the screws are soft and felt cross threaded. It was hard to remove the screws to the blade change panel without burring them over. I ended up with almost every gizmo I possess on the bench but I did it eventually. Then unbolting the supplied blade without burring over the retaining nut proved impossible with the tools provided and I had put together a contraption using a socket set to get the job done (but I did it). Took close on an hour and resulted in a few lumps of skin leaving my knuckles. I would not like to keep changing the blade for different materials.I could not fathom out what the innocuous but important lump of plastic I had in the box was for. Eventually worked out it was the push stick and nothing to indicate this in the manual. The rest went together nicely but I have a bit left over which I can't find a place for (two plastic plugs with two screws but no holes to put the screws through). With a piece of apparatus as potentially dangerous as this I feel a bit anxious about not fitting them. (The package contents says "One small part" but there were two, a pair of commutator brushes, which is nice and the mystery plugs) so no clues there then!I connected up and sliced a perfect 10mm strip off of a bit of waste melamine faced chipboard with no missing melamine jagged edges (I did buy and used an 80T blade). I've never been able to do that before with a circular or jigsaw. I'm very happy.I created a load of sawdust though and ended up looking like a snowman. There are two vacuum outlets on the saw but no mention of their use in the manual.I'm very happy with the saw and the price but if you don't have a decent tool kit and you are not very practical think twice. There are a lot of adjustments to make before cutting, its not just a "plug in ad away you go" tool.I agree with most of the other comments made so I won't repeat them. Main thing is, its reasonable for the price, and once you get it together and understand the nuances, you will finally be independent of your local timber merchant and be able to make stuff without having the bits pre-cut.

Metto 5 stelle perchè per le mie esigenze e spazio di lavoro è perfetto. Il banco sega nel complesso lo trovo pratico, preciso nelle dimensioni di taglio con la guida fissata in due punti e buona aspirazione. L'unico inconveniente che trovo è la possibilità di eseguire tagli cechi senza rimuovere il coltello separatore (che fa perdere un pò di tempo).Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che hanno problemi di spazio, io infatti lo ripongo su uno scaffale quando non lo utilizzo.

Nach den vielen negativen Rezensionen hat es eine Weile gedauert, bis ich mich entschlossen habe, dieses Gerät zu kaufen. Da ich aber für meine Arbeiten in Haus, Hof und Garten nicht gewillt war mehrere hundert Euro für eine Profisäge auszugeben, habe ich mich dann dennoch entschlossen die Scheppach HS80 zu kaufen. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Tischkreissägen im Segment bis ca 50 mm Schnittdicke hatte diese eine größere Leistung und der Angebotspreis von Amazon unter 80 € war auch sehr gut. Die erste Lieferung mußte zwar reklamiert werden, da es sich um ein Gerät handelte, dass augenscheinlich stark benutzt wurde und dann zurückgesandt wurde. Amazon hat aber, wie gewohnt schnell reagiert und am nächsten Tag hatte ich nunmehr ein neues Gerät im Haus.Der erste Eindruck war sehr positiv, stabil, fast fertig zusammengebaut. Sehr einfache Konstruktion aus abgekanteten Blechen, aber trotzdem formstabil und nicht wackelig. Der Führungsanschlag wird mit jeweils einer Stellschraube und zwei Klemmblechen an beiden Seiten des Tisches fixiert. Eine primitive Lösung, aber sie funktioniert, natürlich muß man beim Feststellen etwas gegendrücken und evtl. mal nachmessen, aber die Einstellung ist dann genau und verändert sich nicht beim Sägen. Die oberhalb und unterhalb des Tisches angebrachten Maßbänder stimmen bei meinem Gerät exakt überein, so dass diese auch für die Grobeinrichtung verwendet werden können. Die Feineinrichtung nehme ich sowieso mit einem zusätzlichen Lineal vor. Auch der Winkelanschlag läuft bei mir nahezu spielfrei in der Führungsnut des Tisches. Die Einstellung des gewünschten Winkels ist natürlich nur eine grobe Voreinstellung. Bei genaueren Arbeiten verwende ich einen geeigneten Winkelmesser, der dann die Feineinstellung direkt im Bezug auf das Sägeblatt gewährleistet. Das gleiche gilt auch für die Ausrichtung des Sägeblattes zur senkrechten. Die 90 Grad Einstellung , wenn das Sägeblatt auf Anschlag steht, stimmt übrigens mit einer Abweichung von ca. 0,4 ° zum Sägetisch, nachgemessen mit einem elektronischen Winkelmesser. Eine solche Abweichung dürfte im Schnittbereich bis 50 mm praktisch keine Bedeutung haben für solche Heimanwendungen, wie ich sie vorhabe. Auch die Ebenheit des Sägetisches ist mit einer Wölbung nach unten in der Mitte von ca. 0,5 mm für die Heimwerkerpraxis vernachlässigbar. Einzig die Abdeckung um das Sägeblattist ca. 1 mm tiefer als der Sägetisch, was bei der Verarbeitung von sehr kurzen Teilen Probleme bereiten könnte. Hier sehe ich aber für mich kein Problem, diese Ungenauigkeit durch eine geeignete Unterlage auszugleichen.Im Inneren der Maschine sind die Gleitflächen für die Sägeblatthöhenverstellung entsprechend geschmiert, sowohl die Höhenverstellung als auch die Winkelverstellung des Sägeblattes sind leichtgängig. Das Sägeblatt habe ich, da ich vorwiegend Längsschnitte ausführe durch ein höherwertiges Blatt miz mehr Zähnen ersetzt, obwohl das mitgelieferte Blatt durchaus gute Schnitte gewährleistet. Der Geräuschpegel dieser Maschine ist wie bei allen starken Kreissägen recht hoch, aber für mich erträglich. Dass der Motor in diesem Preissegment keinen Sanftanlauf hat, empfinde ich nicht als Mangel, immerhin hat er einen Überlastschutz. Alles in allem eine sehr preiswerte Maschine eines namhaften Herstellers, der diese Maschine, wie andere bekannte Hersteller auch, in China fertigen läßt. Am Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist an dieser Maschine nichts auszusetzen, wenn man beachtet, dass diese für Heimwerker und Bastler konzipiert wurde. Nachdem ich baugleiche Maschinen mit anderen Marken in Baumärkten gesehen habe, die sich nur durch Farbgebung und Markennamen von meiner Maschine unterschieden habe, möchte ich noch einen besonderen Vorteil der HS80 erwöhnen, diese läßt sich nach Kauf auf der Firmenseite mit den entsprechenden Kaufdaten registrieren und erhält somit eine erweiterte Garantiezeit durch die Firma Scheppach, was ich durchaus als einen bemerkenswerten Service für ein solches Gerät im Niedrigpreissektor sehe. Für mich ist dieses Gerät, auch wenn andere dies nicht bestätigen wollen, im Heimwerkersektor nützlich und qualitativ völlig ausreichend.

Ho ricevuto il pacco prima della consegna prevista. È esattamente come me l'aspettavo, grazie alle recensioni dei clienti che l'hanno acquistata prima di me. Mi soddisfa perché sono alle prime armi e mi consente di fare dei piccoli lavori con dei tagli abbastanza precisi, soprattutto in squadra. È chiaramente di un livello hobbistico e la sconsiglierei a chi ha esigenze superiori. Essendo piccola è facile da trasportare e per chi come me ha problemi di spazio è perfetta.
