Brennan B3 (480G SSD Black) Hifi - Hard disk CD ripper & recorder, storage and player with Bluetooth, Internet Radio, Stereo Power amplifier, NAS, Wav, Lossless (FLAC) and MP3.

Lovely piece of kit bought to replace a failed Sony 300 Mega Storage CD Player. It rips CD's to the hard disk fairly quickly and the app on an iPhone and also on a PC is very good.

If you are downsizing and have loads of CD,s but limited storage then ripping them to a Brennan is the perfect answer. Not the cheapest but linked to a Sonos wireless speaker it really works well.

I have only had the Brennan B3 for a few days, but my first impressions are that the music library layout needs a significant upgrade. Unless I have missed something there are no genre categories and it would be helpful to be able to see the album cover artwork, rather than just the names listed alphabetically. I also found that the online database doesn’t always recognise certain albums which is quite annoying. Considering this CD ripper is not cheap you would expect Brennan to do better with these basic features.

I thought long and hard about buying this, but now I've done it i wish I'd got one earlier. I've ripped about 800 CDs on to it in two weeks in the process rediscovering lots of stuff that I'd forgotten I had. Okay, you can listen to anything on demand online these days, so "owning" music is a bit passe, but if you have a load of CDs that you never listen to because you can't be are*d digging them out or can't find what you are looking for amongst the heap, then this is great. The sound quality is excellent (I have it hard wired into a couple of old speakers) and it recognises and instantly tracklists about 98% of the stuff I've put in it (Even when it doesnecognise the album it rips the Cd and it is very simple to rename the album on the app).Obviously pointless unless you have loads of CDs, but if you do I'd recommend it.UPDATE SOME MONTHS LATER; STILL A GOOD BIT OF KIT BUT MY NEW APPLE MAC CANT CONNECT WITH IT. FINE SO LONG AS MY ANCIENT HANDMEDOWN IPHONE CONTINUES TO FUNCTION, BUT THE TRYING TO LOAD THE APP ON COMPUTER GOES ROUND IN CIRCLES

Worked great for 6 weeks then no sound coming out of it. Checked everything. I'm a retired electronics engineer. Seller 3GA's chatbot says I need to contact Amazon. Amazon chatbot doesn't seem to be configured to deal with a warranty claim ....

Plugged in and set up,all ok,put 32 albums on in one go,turned off and when I turned on again,no music contacted Brennan,told me to scan did so all came back,but could not play any music,contacted Brennan again said it was an app issue ,wanted me to go on main frame computer to sort, no main computer,the app is by Brennan,turned on machine all music gone again,costs almost £600 pounds,does not do what it states,a great pity,was hoping to put all my music on ,ended up getting a refund ,not as advertised

Fantastic item, it does everything I wanted it to do. Reasonably priced and delivered fast.
