UPDATED: See Edit.
I want to give a fair review of these headphones. Firstly, I want to point out that I have quite a few pairs of headphones/headsets.I just have a weird obsession with them. Anyway, I'll get on with it.-SoundI thought I'd start with arguably the most important thing. For your Average Joe, the sound is sufficient. The set is loud enough and I think the sound is balanced enough for your average listener. To give you a more Audiophile appropriate explanation: The mids are strong, but the highs are slightly too weak and lack punch, and the bass is not neat enough for my liking. If sound is main priority, you might want to check out some other headphones before going for these.-ComfortThis is by far the best thing about this set. The headphones are light, the padding around the headband and on the earcups is nothing short of luxurious. The cups have a unique shape to provide extra comfort and support. This also helps prevent sound from leaking. I think it is a great feature. The headphones sits nicely on my head and I could probably wear them all day without ever needing to take them off.-PracticalityThe headphones are built well and have a short wire which is great for portability. The microphone works perfectly well. The headphones don't fold though, or twist, but I think this is quite nice because it means there's nothing that can break easily. No squeaky hinges etc. They look good as well.-SummaryI now use these as my gaming headset. The microphone is good enough. They are also my go to set when travelling due to their robust build and supreme comfort. They don't leak sound which is good for the people around you.In terms of value, they are a tad expensive considering you don't get better sound quality.I actually expected more from Pioneer if I'm honest, when it came to the sound performance. But considering the headphones pretty much excel at everything else, they are not a bad purchase by any means.EDIT: I thought I would provide an update. I've decided to add a star to make 5 stars. The reason behind this is because they are my go to headphones for everything now. I have some headphones that actually provide a better sound, but the Pioneers are just so exciting to use. I did mention that the sound wasn't perfect in my review, however, over time, I have gotten used to the sound quality and they do actually provide a decent enough sound, especially for the price. Still going strong and they were definitely a good buy.

Simply Excellent Headphones
My research suggested that headphones that fully surround the ear give a greater audio experience than headphones that sit against the ear. I also found that open-backed headphones give more realistic sound but less enjoyable musical echo (and of course less privacy). I also wanted to avoid gaming headsets, as they generally tend to be low quality products up-priced.The Pioneer SE-MS5T ticks all my boxes. The first song I listened to, I thought the headphones were broken - the audio was awful. I soon realised, sampling other songs, that I was, for the first time ever, listening to the first song in actuality, and that it was the file that was awful quality, not the headphones. For negatives, I think the surround sound simulation (I think this pair is stereo only, as opposed to 5.1 or 7.1) could be better. I struggle to pinpoint sound sources in first-person games. But I just turned on Windows Sonic for Headphones and I'll see how that works out. Otherwise, ear-enclosing headphones tend to crush your glasses against your head, and I'm really feeling that. I've found no work-arounds thus far, but I might try stretching the headphones out to sit wider.

Well done Pioneer!
I am not an audiophile, but I do love listening to music. After reading about Hi-Res devices I was a bit sceptical, thinking that only a professional would be able to hear the difference.Anyway decided to treat myself to a set of wired Pioneer SE-MS5T headphones and FiiO BTR3 Bluetooth Headphone Amp. Paid just under £100 for both.Well I can honestly say the money was well spent and this is taking listening music to a completely new level of enjoyment. So comfortable this set is, that I can wear it for hours without even noticing it!I read a few reviews about the lacking bass, I can agree, sounds neutral compared to my 2 sets of SONY and 2 sets of MPOW, where bass is exaggerated, BUT if you play around with an equalizer on your PC/laptop/phone you will find the way to improve it to your liking AND get cleaner, crispier Hi-res sound.IMHO the best sound in AIMP player is when Full Bass and Treble preset EQ is used, please see the screenshot attached.Time will show how long it lasts, but the quality looks pretty good, solid and heavy-ish compared to other receivers anyway.

Be careful with the price, how much you pay.---Frequency Response 9 Hz ~ 40,000 Hz.
I bought these Pioneer SE-MS5T headphones for £27 so at that price I am very pleased, the impedance is 32 ohms and they are easily driven by my ipod, and they sound very good. I also bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 which are 250 ohms for use with Hi Fi and my PC. At first I thought that I would return the Pioneers, but with the build quality and great sound I have kept them for use with mobile devices. The Pioneers were available from other sellers at around the £50 price, but now I see the price drifting up, so I recommend you look at a good site for Hi Fi reviews before you decide to buy.

Adequate
I purchased these headphones to replace some old JVC headphones which were showing their age, in terms of sound quality and comfort they don't quite reach the mark. These are absolutely fine for basic use, if however you are wanting a more crisp deeper sound and a comfortable snug fit then I suggest trying a different pair.

Best headphones I've ever bought
I love these headphones. The sound is awesome, especially the mids and the highs. Bass could be better but the quality is still top notch. I usually buy Sony, got several pairs but you can't go wrong with pioneer audio equipment. They are incredibly comfy too which was the main reason I bought them as I wear them for about 5 hours a day.
