A boot that actually stays on!! A must have for all horse owners!
My delightful horse has decided to remove her hoof wall whilst hooning round the yard and exposed the laminae.. a friend recommended these to protect the foot whilst the hoof wall is growing back and I have to say they are relatively easy to fit on a wiggling hind foot and are staying on remarkably well! A definite need for all yards as there are times I have had to tape on various bandages/poultices etc so this would have been a life saver!

Fell to pieces within days
At first I really liked this poultice boot; the fit was really good, it was easy to put on and seemed to provide decent grip without rubbing. I did notice there was no way to secure the zip. However, twelve hours later, the zip was completely open, but the boot had somehow stayed on. I changed the poultice and replaced boot, but within 12 hours the zip had come undone and the boot fallen off. The boot was used on a pony who is very laid back.Despite trying two more times to keep the boot on, the zip just kept coming undone. There does not appear to be a way to 'lock' the zip. It does not lock when the puller is pressed down, as it would on human footwear. On the third day of wear the boot completely ripped open.It does state on the packaging that the boot is expected to last approx two weeks, but this one barely lasted two days.

Good if used in correct circumstances
This medical boot fits really well and the zipper definitely makes things form fitting to protect bandages. The neoprene fit meant very, very little stall shavings can slip in. This boot is best used for keeping a healing wound clean. When the description says okay for "sensible horses" during turn out this is not an exaggeration. They cannot go buck wild and except to save this product from destruction. Suitable for hand walking and seriously light turn out in a paddock less than 20ft wide. Not suitable for legit turn out, even in a relatively small paddock. If they can run around, then it's not small enough to suit this boot. Best for true medical purposes. Not rehab purposes after wound has healed.

Excellent protective boot
Close fitting protective boot for stable and field. My very footsore horse (pulled half his foot off when getting cast) was comfortable in this for turnout and walking on tarmac surfaces. Lasted about 3 weeks with daily use in the paddock - might have been longer but his accomplice assisted removal which tore the neoprene! Highly recommended and I have bought another as a stock item for a lost shoe.

Not happy with this product
Not happy at all with this product. It only lasted one turnout and it’s got an hole in it already.

These boots are great for horses with very sensitive feet
These boots are great for horses with very sensitive feet or when needing to cover a poultice on a horse that lives out. Highly recommend, these boots are life savers in winter months.

This is a shoddy product and not fit for purpose
The photo shows the boot after less than 48 hours. It is quite clearly not fit for purpose.
