I thought this light was DOA, even after charging the battery I could not get it to turn on. While packaging it to return, I noticed a round piece of plastic/paper covering the negative end of the battery. I removed it, and put the battery back in the light and presto, it works great and is bright as heck.

I loved this light! It helped me show my students what changes were happening! They were able to see movement under the shell! We were able to see parts of the chick I’ve never seen before! So exciting!

I like this product in regards to its usability as in as far as it is user friendly , was packaged per standard , received in good working order and time. However the description reads powerful led lighting , the lighting is about the same as I would get with a regular led flashlight. But the top part is convenient to place an egg on but ultimately I got the same effect as I would simply by holding my flash light to the bottom and cupping the head of the flash light and the egg in my hand.

I was surprised at how bright this little candler is. You can easily candle even brown eggs with this device.Pros: - Very bright - Easily fits in your pocket for portability - rechargeable batteryBe careful: - the battery comes with a little round protector on the flat end that is easy to miss. If you don't remove it, your candler will not work and you'll think it's broken. I didn't see this in the instructions although the instructions are VERY small. I included a picture showing the protector on the end. - The charger shows the battery fully charged even with the flat end protector in place. So this is misleading.
