Rust-Oleum 250ml Painter's Touch Toy Safe Paint - Satin White

I recently used the Rust-Oleum RO0050014F1 250ml Metallic Toy-Safe Paint in Silver for a DIY toy restoration project, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results! The paint goes on smoothly and evenly, with great coverage. Even after one coat, it provided a nice metallic sheen that made my toy pieces look brand new. It dries fairly quickly, which was a bonus, as I didn’t have to wait long before applying additional coats if needed. What really sets this paint apart is the fact that it is toy-safe, which is a key feature if you’re using it for children's items. I feel confident knowing that it's non-toxic and suitable for projects where safety is a concern.

This was purchased for a bespoke Toy Box and having used Rust Oleum paint in spray form previously i was confident this would meet my requirements. I specifically wanter a hi quality finish and elected to roller it onto prepared wooden panel. I was not disappointed with the finish, the drying time or the ease of cleaning my painting tools with just water and soap was a bonus. The end results were outstanding and have exceeded my expectations. This is a very cherry red and just what the recipient of the tool box wanted (Spider Man Red!) Great price and high quality paint and finish. Recommended

Having used this product before I was surprised at how thin this is now. I stirred the tin very well, as usual so it wasn't a mixing error. To cover the sanded wood it took 4 coats to get an even finish, 6 to get full colour. The second issue is the colour is really bright, very yellow. Comparing it to the other side table I did last year there is a huge difference. So I had to sand the original table ( both tables are the same, we just had the second one in the hallway, so had left it natural but decided we needed a second side table in the living room), and give it a prime and again 6 coats. The tables are petit, and we are just painting the tops ( 25cm by 25 cm) and it took the whole tin to get proper coverage, whereas the tin we bought last year did one side table top, the legs of 3 footstools, and a large picture frame, probably because the formula was better with more pigment. It is a shame, it most probably has nothing to do with the seller, rather a manufacturer decision to water down the formula, so do be prepared and get enough to cover whatever you need 6 times, and be prepared that it is much more yellow than it was last year in case you are trying to match.

Great paint for gutters looks really good

We paint garden ornaments, planter baskets, cement based items and most things in between. Rust Oleum for me is the best and most consistent of ALL paints. It covers well, nice in Satin, can use as base coat or top coat and yes, takes a bit longer to dry. For the coverage it is good economy. Any same product colours like grey are similarly excellent which is the only word to do justice. I do buy brake calliper paint for many colours which is very economical, high quality and well suited to many surfaces especially metal of course. This the combination plus odd little tins of Revill/Humbrol work extremely well.

Colour right but size of tin deceptive to illustration

This is fab paint! I was really pleased at how well this went on, how thick it was and how little you needed to achieve a good effect! I used it on a unit for my bathroom after I’d painted it grey. For a subtle effect, all you need do is dip a round brush lightly in the paint and then dab it so most of the paint is off and then lightly roll it over the furniture for a hint of gold.... It’s coverage is excellent and a little goes a long way. Although the tub is tiny, on my piece of furniture I barely used a tenth of it! The brush is also easy to clean with soap and water. I also used this to brighten up some rusty hinges and one coat covered the rust perfectly! I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to use this product again and again!

Good and arrived before time started

La pintora cubre muchísimo de una sola mano. La usé para pintar unos muebles con acabados metálicos negros, y cubrieron el negro a la primera. Es al agua. Aunque del pincel ha costado un poco sacarla. Pero la recomiendo 100%.

Usato per la ringhiera del mio balcone, ottimo prodotto!

Ottimo prodotto ma immaginavo la confezione più grande, mia colpa, dovevo immaginare che 250ml non erano molti😂
