I really wanted this to work as my rear dashcam, Seemed to fit the bill with everything I was looking for over a mobius. Discreet, small, capacitor, multiple video modes, ultra HD, support up to 128GB, wi-fi. Great price from Amazon.The reality:Switched on, the cam wifi does not work. The Joovuu would not emit a wifi signal at all! Tried multiple times, no joy!In the end, it went back to Amazon for a full refund. I'm not prepared to order a replacement as I'm not entirely convinced the same thing won't happen again as Amazon may have a dudd batch. There's also lots of feedback on Amazon, the Joovuu website and various forums about wifi connection issues.Buying it from Joovuu themselves will cost £20 more but you can get a CPL filter and GPS as extras.

A great help desk is what can help make a great company and JooVuu have been great in fixing some of my problems until I changed my review to a glowing one, then they have completely ignored me ! - So don't let them persuade you to change your reviewsYou need a certain type of micro SD card to work with this, check with the JooVuu forums as to which one you need. The SanDisk Ultra 32GB shown as 'frequently bought together' on the Amazon site didn't work for me.Certain devices won't allow downloads of files such as my Nexus, which works fine with other productsWhat else am I going to come across as I still haven't been able to get a working one fitted to the car ?Device is still sat in the box as doesn't work fully over a week later, helpdesk don't want to help (or even reply) so I guess it's all going back

After quite a bit of set-up issues this camera is now working in my car. But there was a long road before this device worked reliably in my car. Some issues were my fault, and throughout the support was outstanding. Even the owner helped out.Positives:A) The image quality on the highest setting 4HD is really crisp and pretty much without equalB) I love the form factor. There is really no need for a screen on a dash camera in my view. this is neat, small and looks ok.C) Support was brilliant and patientD) Many options on how to set it (although that also added issues - see below)E) OK value for moneyF) Solid screw / glue mounting.Negatives:1) The documentation leaflet was less than useful - it is being re-written and the pdf version is fine.2) The camera has settings like 60fps at HD resulution, that I could never get to work even though I have approved SD cards3) the often suggested Ultra fast Scandisc SD cards do NOT work with this camera4) My first camera was faulty and had to go back (that can happen in any manufacturing process)5) Night time quality is not great in my view. And no option to change exposure - but it works at a pinch.6) Battery life is non existent as far as I can work out.7) No GPS! apparently that is a £10 extra!!!So overall I think 3 star is an ok rating, but I think its best use might not be as a dash camera, but maybe as a nature/spy camera?

This is my second JooVuu X purchase. I purchased my first JooVuu X back in April 2016 and since then it’s worked perfectly. Before I bought a JooVuu X I had bought a fair few terrible cheap Chinese dash cams and got so fed up of the cameras rarely working.After doing some research I came across the JooVuu X which unlike any other dash cam was developed in the UK but better than that…YOU CAN TALK DIRECTLY TO THE OWNER. This has been fantastic, as I was struggling to get the WiFi working – Dan the owner dropped me an email with a video on what to do within minutes of emailing their customer service. Since then I’ve had no problems but I have never come across service like this. Service is what sold this camera to me and I’m sold. It’s a bonus that the camera has the best image quality I’ve ever seen or that it’s so small you genuinely cannot see it from the outside and depending how you mount it on the inside, you can’t really see it on the inside either. If you’re going to buy one camera make it this one and you won’t be disappointed.

The Amazon version does not include the GPS unit. Buy direct for £10 more to get GPS charger.This has to be powered using cigarette lighter, cable provided has moulded in plug, so no option to use car USB connector. I now have to drive along with glove box open, until I source a very long USB to mini USB cable.iOS app seems to work well.UPDATE: I wrote the above, before fitting to the car! WiFi is totally unreliable, the iOS app is unstable. It only switches to record on 50% of journey's. Never managed to get it to record manually. Did an update and a factory reset, neither made any difference. Didn't get around to returning it, 8 moths later it is still in the car. I only check it when someone does something silly in front of me and half the time it's not recording or not even powered up.

Ordered one of these and it was simple enough to set up and very discreet all was well for two days. So on day 3 I started the car and looked for the red LEDs to confirm it was recording nope it was all green. So I tried to put it in wifi mode and check why it wasn't recording it wouldn't go into wifi mode it wouldn't turn off nothing so I'm returning it with the dilemma do I try another ? Loved it being so discreet as you couldn't see it with it behind the car mirror but will a second fail ??UPDATECustomer support contacted me the same day & blamed my sd card but it could possibly be the camera they said. They then kindly offered a free SD card they would have tested, I then emailed them back saying I would take up there offer no reply still two days later. So I would look elsewhere for a dash cam as initially keen to help which lead to nothing.
