Prem-I-Air 16" (40cm) Chrome Pedestal Fan With Remote Control

Well I researched the purchase of this fan extensively prior to purchase and no fan seems to meet everyone's needs. There is a small amount of assembly, possibly 12 parts, but all logical and straightforward and does not need any tools. Once assembled looks good works well and the remote control is a bonus. The fan is quiet in operation and I find can be left on overnight in the bedroom. Downsides? Well it would be nice if you could operate the swing function from the remote, you can't and being able to set the extent of the swing function would be nice. Overall very pleased, best fan I've ever owned.

The vast complimentary reviews tempted me to get this fan as a replacement for a 16" desk fan in the bedroom. I have now had this gem for about a month and it is in daily and virtually continuous use. I have not been disappointed. The fan comes well packaged with simple instructions, though anybody with a minimum of mechanical understanding should be able to assemble in full in about 3 minutes flat. The parts slot or screw together easily and although the stand gives the appearance of being slightly flimsy, it actually does the job of supporting the fan really well. The remote is a boon and again seems flimsy, but very responsive to adjusting fan speed, on/off and timer functions. The guard is well made and secure. If I have a criticism it would have to be that the narrow blades of the fan make for a slightly noisy experience, which nevertheless can be lost by the sound of the TV and one gets used to it very quickly. In short, this is an outstanding piece of equipment that I would recommend to anybody.

I just looked over at my fan and realised we have had it for 4 years and it still works great, the remote still works. It doesn't rattle. And we use it almost every night for at least 8 hours.So I decided that merits a review - thank you Prem I Air.

Great fan. Very fast, even on the lowest setting, gale force on the highest. Pretty quiet, I use it in the bedroom and have no problem sleeping soundly. The remote control is a bonus, an the battery was already included. Looks quite posh with the chrome finish, and is very sturdy. No vibrations or rattling, even on the very powerful high setting.If you've only ever bought the cheaper fans you will be amazed at the difference in power and quality. This is what you need to help keep you cool during any hot weather we might get in future. Well worth every penny.EDIT 13/11/2018I just wanted to add that over 2 years after purchase and with it being used every single night, even in winter, this fan is still going strong. Definitely was worth the money.

Good firm stand and adjustable column, cheap but functional locking screws, very neat control panel and reliable remote (So far), very good air flow (Strong breeze up to full gale). The 3 mode options and timer all work well and are very useful.Unfortunately all of this is ruined by the noiise level, even on minimum speed setting. The problem would appear to be the fan blade design, most fans use the boat propeller style broad blades which are relatively quiet but this uses narrow aero style blades, if you imagine the noise of a light aircraft at several feet and then imagine it in the room with you, that is the effect.So, if you are deaf or want to site it next to the speakers at a rock concert, this could be the one for you.

Fantastic fan. In the last few days, we have had temperatures unto 38 degrees ( hottest in the last decade) and this fan arrived just in time to be used in a big open plan living room kitchen. I found it circulated air rather well and is no more or less noisy than the other table fans in the house, infact I find it on the quiet side. Build quality is really good and a lot of people have commented that it looks really nice. Has 3 speeds, timer and sleep mode. The remote has a nice case that hangs by a hook under the fan. I find it useful not to go about looking for it all over. Delivery was really fast and assembly took 15 mins on my own ( and I'm 38 weeks preg!). I wouldn't recommend lifting the fan up on your own after assembly as it is rather heavy.

Gut aussehendes Teil mit hervorragender Funktion.Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Es klappert nichts, es ist stabil. Nicht zu laut.Bedienungs- und Zusammenbauanleitung nur in Englisch und Französisch.War aber zu schaffen,vor allem als mit klar geworden ist , daß die Schraube am Ventilator, die alles zusammenhält, entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn fest gedreht und im Uhrzeigersinn aufgedreht werden muß.

Ah! Je suis très content de mon achat! Super ventilateur!! Silencieux, efficace, ça souffle bien!.. et ça refroidit bien!!... vu que le flux d'air est régulier! C'est les flux d'air réguliers et constants, qui refroidissent ( comme les ventilateurs Dyson, par exemple ). Celui-là a un flux d'air régulier, car ses pales sont en plastique!! De plus, c'est silencieux! En comparaison, les ventilateurs à pales en métal, sont trop bruyants!! Et de plus, leur flux d'air est très irrégulier, car ces pales en métal ne sont pas "courbées", mais "pliées", ce qui provoque une forte turbulence qui ne refroidit pas le corps pour autant ( ça souffle dans tous les sens, sans provoquer de sensation de rafraîchissement), et ça fait un bruit inimaginable. Là je parle des ventilateurs à pales de métal. Mais celui-ci, le Prem-i-air, c'est magique: flux d'air régulier rafraîchissant, et silencieux! ( C'est vrai que ça fait un léger vrombissement. Mais on ne peut pas empêcher que des pales qui tournent à cette vitesse, fassent un léger bruit!...)..Je suis vraiment ravi! Et la télécommande! Ah, que c'est pratique! (J'aime bien changer de vitesse de temps en temps.... Plus besoin de se lever, pour changer )..Je l'ai acheté parce que je voulais un ventilateur qui:1) ait une télécommande,2) soit silencieux,3) ait une fonction "boost" ( pour donner un coup de froid. Bon, il n'a pas cette fonction, mais il a la vitesse 3, qui pulse quand même bien comme il faut! ).J'ai cherché pendant 3 jours sur internet, mais tous les ventilateurs étaient en rupture de stock. Et finalement je me suis rabattu sur celui-ci, que je n'avais pas remarqué de prime abord, mais qui paraissait très bien dans les annonces, et je l'ai reçu aujourd'hui, et il correspond tout-à-fait à mes attentes. Je dois dire que c'est la commande sur internet qui m'a fait le plus plaisir de ces derniers temps, surtout quand on connaît le problème de la canicule actuelle!!!.Précédemment j'utilisais mon ventilateur habituel, mais le problème c'est qu'il n'avait pas de télécommande. De plus il était tout en métal, les pales aussi, et comme je l'ai dit, ça fait surtout du bruit, même si cela fait ce côté rétro si plaisant. Eh bien justement, ce nouveau ventilateur de chez Prem-i-air que je viens de recevoir, a aussi un côté rétro! MAIS...: avec des pales en plastique, et heureusement d'ailleurs!.Je regrette simplement qu'il n'y ait pas ce petit rond bleu, au milieu de l'hélice, avec la couronne, que je trouvais chic... Le mien c'est tout chromé..Autrement... attention au montage car la notice n'est pas très claire, vu que le ventilo décrit dans la notice ne me paraît pas être exactement le même, ce qui peut prêter à confusion..Attention aussi lors du transport/déplacement du ventilateur, il faut le prendre par le pied, et par la partie pied en métal ( bref, au milieu du pied ), car le bloc moteur a un habillage en plastique (chromé), ainsi que le bloc de contrôle avec les boutons, donc c'est fragile, le plastique, et si on porte le ventilo par la poignée en haut, ou par le desous du bloc moteur, cela ferait que tout le poids tirerait sur la ***charnière*** entre le bloc moteur et le pied, et c'est là que c'est fragile, car le plastique pourrait se fendiller..Pour la télécommande, mettre comme d'habitude, le pôle positif de la "pile bouton", vers le haut ( quand on procède à cette opération, la télécommande une fois retournée. )..Autrement, le montage est vraiment très facile!Ah oui, j'oubliais.. c'est une prise UK (anglaise) , d'ailleurs c'est mentionné dans l'annonce! Donc préalablement acheter un adaptateur. Mais on ne va pas faire le difficile, quand, en.pleine canicule, on a ce ventilateur de disponible à la vente, et avec télécommande, et silencieux, et puissant, etc!... Donc pour moi ce ventilateur est parfait! :)..----------------------------------Je rajoute ceci, un peu plus tard, que j'ai oublié de dire:- le bloc "hélice+grille" peut s'orienter vers le haut de deux crans ( pivoter vers l'arrière de deux crans ).Mais il ne peut s'orienter vers le bas ( pivoter vers l'avant ), que de un cran ( ce qui suffit)..

CE NE SONT PAS 5 ETOILES A LA LEGERE!Je viens de reçevoir le ventilateur bien emballé plus tot que prévu!!!Montage intuitif PRESQUE pas besoin de la notice. Il y a juste l'ecrou de fixation de la pale qui se visse a l'anglaise dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d'une montre.JE NE SAIS DE QUOI PARLE LES GENS MAIS MA PRISE EST BIEN FRANCAISE! Alors faut arretez de dire nimporte quoi!Ou peut-etre que cela a ete corrigé entre temps!!Ce ventilateur donne de l'air a souhait !Il est silencieux grace a ses pales en plastique TRES INGENIEUX JE DOIS DIRE CAR LE RESTE DES MATERIAUX SONT EN METAL!!La telecommande fonctionne tres bien et remplit sa fonction a 100%!!C'est un vrai plaisir !!!Avec cette chaleur, on est comme dans une bulle d'air !RAPPORT QUALITE/PRIX IMBATTABLEMoi qui suit un type méfiant je vous le recommande!J'ai écumé d'innombrables sites pour trouver la meilleure affaire!Et croyez moi, un rapport q/p comme celui la c'est rare!GARANTIE 2 ans, materiaux en metal, pales en plastique pour le silence!BRAVO PREM-I-AIR! Bin sehr zufrieden, bringt verdammt gute Leistung! Für den Preis absolut ein lohnenswerter Kauf.Geräuschentwicklung ist sehr gering und durch die Fernbedienung bequem bedienbar

Grundsätzlich ein gutes Produkt von der Verarbeitung und von den Funktionen, Die Stange, das Gitter und Grundplatte sind aus Metall, der Rest ist aus Plastik. Bedienungsanleitung ist auf Englisch, weil es grundsätzlich für diesen Markt ausgerichtet ist. (Erkennt man auch dadurch das ein Adapter für Schukosteckdose dabei ist, um bei uns zu nutzen).Was für mich aber unbrauchbar macht ist der extreme Lärm der dieser Ventilator erzeugt bereits bei niedrigster Stufe (kann mich nicht den anderen Rezessionen anschließen, das der Leise wäre). Ich habe einen anderen einfachen 0815 Ventilator mit 3 Stufen und der ist bei höchsten Stufe gerade mal so laut wie dieser Ventilator bei niedrigster Stufe.
