Is this made in England?

I just looked at the back of the plate when I received this email question from Amazon and YES there is a made in England stamp on the back. I checked other pieces in my collection and all said Made in England. I can't guarantee it for you, but the ones I purchased from this site were made in England.

Are there 6 different patterns? Looks as tho the African Lily is duplicated??!! Was the 6th pattern supposed to be Clematis or Virgin's Bower?

Whenever I have purchased Portmeirion Botanic Garden sets, the patterns were 6 different flowers. Though a number of the patterns repeat across items in the setting, ie you might find the daisy on a pasta bowl and on a coffee mug, the items within the 6 piece sets have always been different. Occasionally one of the patterns is retired and a new flower is introduced in the set. For this reason, I can't say what is included in the current set of 6 plates.

Are they all the same flower in this set? Can I choose the ones I want to make up 6?

Each plate has a different flower, and you cannot chose the ones you want to make up the 6. But know that the assortment of flowers is part of the appeal of serving with Portmeirion; they look beautiful on the table.

Has anyone had a problem with glaze and/or plates cracking after years of use in microwave?

I too have issues with the glaze cracking (crazing) on all plates and bowls. I do not use microwave, just regular use and dishwasher. They are not inexpensive, and I expect better quality glaze fitting.
