Could be designed better
I spent some time researching my options before buying these. I immediately ruled out all the versions with just one hook at each end. I then learned that on some of the unknown brands, the threads can strip - given the danger of this job, I decided not to chance it and knowing Sealey are a reputable brand, plumped for these.I had a couple of issues in use - firstly the shape of the clamps could be better - the hooks are a long way from the part that is threaded, meaning that you have to get the two clamps as wide apart on the spring as possible. The first time I did it, I tightened it as far as possible, but it was still too long to fit in the strut. It takes about 10-15 mins to slacken and retighten so getting it wrong is a pain. The other problem I ran into, is that the threaded bit is very close to/catches on the top/bottom of the strut if you don't get the position right. Better if they'd designed the hooks so that they sat slightly further from the thread, and closer to each other. Eventually I managed to find the right position to place them in so that they compressed the spring sufficiently (just!) and didn't catch on anything.I found that one of the four hooks always looked slightly unsafe as I started tightening - the hooks could really do with being a little deeper, but as I tightened (with care), the position slowly improved. So I'll aware these 4 stars as they're probably one of the better sets on the market, but some way from being ideal.Note: compressing the springs using clamps isn't an easy job and carries some risk - If I'd had use of another car, I'd have taken the struts to a local garage to have the coils swapped.

Look very good, short & compact.
Arrived very quickly, these SeaEly clamps seam to be well made and I'am sure they will last a long time.Have not the chance to put them to use, they are shorter than I thought, but I'am sure this will be advantage.Recently borrowed a set {Sealey} from a friend to change a o/s/f spring on my wife's 207 they worked perfectly. The screws are much longer which just meant more turning.Ernest

Good but
Well made tool as expected but unfortunately do not fit thicker springs so for me we're no use for the job at the time

I survived
I used these and kept all of my limbs and extremities, I also successfully swapped out my springs.Practice good procedures, face the death clamps away from the line of fire, face the springs death fling away from you too. Tighten evenly with a ratcheting spanner, not an impact! And go slow.
