Perfect for what I needed

Works on small ice machine heaters but the wire is a smaller gauge

Although I still had plenty of wire that came with my Hercules hot wire cutter, the wire kept breaking and I had to go slower to prevent. I'm cutting very dense foam 3" thick. This wire is slightly thicker than what I was using, so maybe that's why it was a great improvement. It cut faster, better, and at a lower temperature setting. So 5 stars.

My husband got it for work was great

Worked great in a custom built foam cutter.

I got this to make a crude tool for cutting acoustic foam, and it works perfectly. With a 12 volt 1 amp wall wart and about a 6" length of the wire, it got red hot in a fraction of a second and went right through the foam easily making an extremely clean cut.

I believe this is as-described, but they need a more realistic photo.
