Shipping g was super quick and the price was fine for an item I was just going to see if I liked.Pleasantly surprised and the grip of this mat. I lay it on top of my Manduka mat to do my normal flows and functional movement routines. Little to no slip or bunching. For me, it would be too little to use on a hard floor, but I'm pleased with the purchase overall.

I am in the market for a new yoga mat and am also trying to reduce the amount of waste and plastic/synthetics I have around the house. I also have hyperhidrosis so this mat fit my needs. I did purchase this knowing there wasn’t any kind of grip. I have hardwood floors so this moves around a lot. It’s basically like a cotton rug. I was going to buy rug grips to place under but I’m using my old worn out yoga mat as a grip instead so no need to purchase more stuff. I sweat a lot when I do yoga so this works great to keep me from slipping. Although I would not do elbow planks as it does hurt the elbow skin a little. I use it as my next-to-bed mat that I use for quick morning sun salutations, stretches and meditation.Ideally if this mat came with natural rubber gripping sewed in to the rug it would make this perfect. If you don’t have an old mat or spare rug base materials then you may have to spend the extra to purchase.

I am very pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to using this in class! I read about the traditional Mysore yoga rugs and wanted to get a hold of one. This one was reasonably priced and available with Prime shipping, so I took a chance on it. It was a little stiff when it arrived, so I machine-washed it in cold water and did two spin cycles. I know the instructions say no dryer, but I know it will be washed frequently so I went ahead and popped it in the dryer. Dried on low until it was just barely damp, then finished on high heat. Minimal shrinkage and the rug became much softer. It fits perfectly on my yoga mat and even has some extra length so I am not too concerned if it shrinks a bit more with future washes. It's going to have to hold up to frequent washing because I sweat a LOT (Bikram and vinyasa hot yoga classes). The weight on this is what I envisioned, something made of natural materials, that is absorbent, and heavy enough to not bunch up on my mat like a regular yoga towel. Sometimes it feels like I'm doing yoga atop an unmade bed the way the thin yoga towels crumple during active practice. This folds up pretty well and will be easy to tote to practice with my mat.

It is good for people who has sweaty hands. It is not slippery and you will have a good grip. BUT, It can feel rough. The skin on my hands burn after practicing on it.

I love this yoga rug! It totally changed my practice. I had no idea how bad my alignment was and that I was using incorrect technique because of the sticky mats. I still use my sticky mat as padding under this because I have joint issues. But I felt incredibly strong in my practice after the first use.

Much smaller than an average yoga mat.

I really liked this yoga rug on top of my yoga mat but then I washed it and dried it on low and it shrunk. I lost an inch of width but not length. I would buy another because I still like it aside from the shrinkage.

This turquoise yoga mat is gorgeous! It's soft, has vibrant colors, well made, clean and very affordable! I highly recommend to anyone!
