Lovely little bird table, Easy to build & will brighten up almost any garden
As summer is rapidly approaching and I've finally managed to fight back the garden of overgrowth from last year, I decided that Mr Robin and his friends could do with an easier time when it comes to finding food and water within the relative safety of the garden. So I bought this fine Kingfisher bird table as a bit of a DIY project, and so far it hasn't disappointed. When the box arrived, all of the pieces were cut and finished very well and the instructions were clear to understand. However, the screws and fixings were all missing for some reason. After contacting the seller about it, within hours they had shipped a replacement set of metal hardware which arrived a couple of days later with Royal Mail. After 30-40 minutes, a brew and self-gloating, I now have a very handsome bird table that my feathered admirers are going to absolutely love!Good Points- Easy to put together (you'll need a philips screwdriver)- Clear instructions- Decent finish (edges sanded, rounded and generally safe)- High quality construction, considering it's been manufactured for domestic self-assembly- Excellent customer serviceNot-so-good Points- Screws were missing, but to be fair the seller rectified the problem at their own expense, so brownie points for excellent customer service.- The finish on the feed holder isn't so good. It's been cut in a way that leaves the wire mesh exposed at one end which is exceptionally sharp. I've had to bed them back to prevent animals (and people) from catching themselves horrifically on it.- Most fiddly part is the legs. Though I managed just fine by myself, two people (one to hold, one to screw) would have been easier.- If you get the legs out of balance (oops) the table will be wonky (obviously). But one way around it is to bury part of the legs into the soil, like muggins here...OverallIt's a lovely little bird table that is relatively easy to build in no time. Your feathered friends will love it!

Awful
I can honestly and accurately say this is the worst quality, flimsy, useless design I could ever have imagined. Please save your money and buy something of better quality. The main stem of the design has an unsupported join in the middle. It's so lightweight it's like balsa wood. There were knots that were so rotted in places that screws were supposed to go. We reinforced it with other pieces of wood and it's still flimsy. Even the birds choose not to use it. The wood is almost yellow in colour so it stands out like a sore thumb in the garden setting. Worst waste of money ever. I've had to give this a star in all catagories because it's impossible to leave feedback on less than one star, but in reality it's no more than firewood.

Matchwood that takes ages to assemble
Once this is built I would expect it to last a winter before it rots away (or a day, see later). I had to use an electric drill, 2 sizes of bits, electric screwdriver, pencil and straight edge. As an experienced DIY person it took me over an hour to set up. All the parts are there but cheap is not a good enough word, it's made of quite literally old orange boxes! You certainly need to drill pilot holes if you want it to stand up straight. The instructions are reasonably good and all the parts were there but the holes were not big enough causing the wood to split (probably because they used different screws).Nothing is weatherproof and the bolts and screws will be expected to rust. However for the money and if you want to attract small birds to your balcony or small garden you could do worse for the money. Alternatively spend a lot more for something deaccent that will last. This will certainly keep the kids quiet for a bit waiting for some activity.A crow just landed on it causing it to fall over and split! Shall I send it back? :-)

Should last a few years.
This is not a heirloom item: It's not the most solid construction or the highest-quality materials. It's cheap, and it'll last you a few years. If that's all you need, that's fine. Got a nice pellet-holder built in, too. That's pellets, not seed. It'll take fat balls if you cut them in half first. I was able to violate the assembly instructions on mine to modify it for mounting on top of a fence rather than freestanding.

excellent in all respects
The existing bird table had fallen apart the replacement was easy to assemble and position .I was pleasantly surprised at the cost.

Cheap and rickety
Fine if you need a cheap bird table so that you can study it and make your own later. If you want a real bird table, don’t buy this. Wood is so cheap I hesitate to even call it wood. Some had holes in some had splintered. Would be nice if the post had holes in for the legs because I just had to guess where to screw them in. Wood wasn’t even sanded down, and the main post was in two parts for shipping ease I assume, however it made it super rickety. From the price I obviously didn’t expect it to be amazing but a little care put in would have been nice.
