Product Description Rustin's Knotting is used for sealing knots in wood and on resinous and creosoted timber to prevent bleeding through paint film. It is fast drying and prevents discolouration of paints. Suitable for interior and exterior use. APPLICATION: Prepare the surface by first sanding it smooth before applying liberally over knots and surrounding area. Do not sandpaper knotting once applied. Resinous and creosoted timber should be sealed completely with 2 coats. Knotting should not be used under polyurethane clear varnishes, water based varnishes or water based paints. Does what it says on the bottle, easy to use, didn’t come with a brush built into the lid like some do, so had to find a tiny brush to fit into the bottle, rather than pour some out (which is an alternative idea).

' Woodn't ' be without it
Bought some wood to make into 2 garden gate posts. Wood was full of knots. They have both been treated with the knotting & now painted but to early to tell if its as good as its meant to be.

This covers any knots in wood very easily.
If you follow the instructions on the bottle this is a breeze to use and covers really well.

Early days , but I think it has done what it is supposed to do , takes a long time for it to prove , but seemed like other stuff I have used .
