Completely useless after one month !!
I ordered this on May 2nd and went online on June 10th to return it only to find that I was out of the 30-day return period - I guess the shipping and processing time is included in the 30-day period - too bad. I almost never review products, but this one has disappointed me so much I wish that I had sent it back a few weeks ago when I already saw some problems and tried to ignore them. The fake leather material is already coming off and starting to bubble up. The strap that holds the cover closed is already very week and loosing elasticity. The magnetic stand flap is also getting very week and collapses very easily - that flap also has some tearing in the corners that showed up after only a few weeks of use. On top of all this, the case doesn't hold the iPad in very well (i.e. the iPad is always trying to slip out when moving the case) because there is nothing (like Velcro) to make the little fold-in flap stay in place. So one might say that I must use this thing all day long at work and home as well as travel with it all over to have it in such a rough shape after such a short time, but honestly my wife and I use it in the evening time here and there. Most of the time it is just left open in a set up position ready for use (by this I mean that the case is not being opened, closed, or manipulated in other ways that would shorten the life-span of the product). We only have an infant (so she is obviously not using it) and just in case anyone was wondering, no dogs or cats using it either. Even if I am greatly underestimating my usage (which would mean I probably have another split personality doing things with the iPad that I don't know about), I would still expect a $20 product to hold up longer than a few weeks.I spend hours looking around for this case on Amazon and ended up ordering this one for my wife and another one for my mom at the same time (they both got the iPads for mother's day). My mom wanted a cheaper black one from a different company and funny enough the cheaper one was real leather and is actually holding up much better than this more expensive one with much greater use since my mom takes it with her all the time.If you want to spend $20 dollars every other month (estimating that this one will be completely useless after the 2nd month of use) then order this product, otherwise look for something else.

Good, But Needs To Be Better
There are so many things I really like about this iPad case: It's simple yet stylish looking; it's well made and has proven durable; it has a stylus loop; it's comfortable to hold, with an elastic band for added holding security; it has a second elastic band that holds the case shut when iPad is not in use; it can hold the iPad upright at multiple angles with adequate stability; most importantly, it has done a fine job of protecting both my iPads (I've used it with iPad 2 and iPad 4 with Retina Display). What I don't like, and it's a biggie for me, is that the case is just roomy enough that the iPad can shift around a bit inside, which leads to the camera port being compromised. It doesn't block the camera, but it's just off-center enough that every picture I take comes out with a grainy red haze on the lower right-hand corner (my case is red, obviously). I've tried adjusting it, but given the weight of the iPad, it always slides down again. I suppose I could try jamming something inside the case at a strategic place to hold the iPad up, but I imagine it would still be kind of a pain. Right now, the only way to get a good picture is to remove the iPad from the case, defeating the purpose of the case in the first place. And since I have the iPad with Retina Display, taking pictures is something I really want to be able to do easily. I'm going to keep looking for a better designed case for my needs. Also may be worth mentioning that while the magnets in the case do put the iPad to sleep and wake it up, I notice I have to be kind of particular when I close the case. If I don't get the cover perfectly aligned and flat, the iPad will stay 'awake'. The elastic closure band mentioned above is really helpful for this.

Bulky & does not turn off iPad when closed
This case might be great for someone else, but it was not what I was looking for. The stylus that comes with it was bent when I received it & does not work well. I was looking for something a little sturdier than the iHome case that have for when I travel. This case is nearly four times thicker than my iHome case. I was also very excited about the hand grip, but it is difficult to use. It is hard to get out & doesn't get snug enough for my hand. It also does not have the feature that turns it off when you close it which I love. The elastic strap to hold the cover closed doesn't seem like it will last long. While it is made from leather, it looks cheaply made to me. It was very inexpensive for an iPad 2 cover & I'm sure would work for some, but it's not the quality I was looking for. I do plan on returning this item. I have already orderd another case. A thin rubber clip on case with a smart cover for only $19.99 w/ free shipping. I also ordered a neoprene case to give it some extra padding when traveling.

almost perfect!
Overall this case is pretty great. If you keep the price in mind, and specific qualities that aren't usually available, this is a really top-notch case. I bought it for two reasons: the stylus holder (not easy to find on most streamlined cases) as well as for the hand hold, which is great, especially given the "weight" of the iPad, which can get heavy when using it to read books and the like. I like it better than the Apple case for iPad because it fully surrounds the pad, making it seem safe and also allowing it to slip into my bag more easily. The only downside I have for this holder is that, while you can easily set it up to view horizontally, there is no way to lock the position, so the case can occasionally slide open to flat if you're not careful. I wish there was a way to just add a catch that could hold it open for a viewing position -- maybe for the next generation! (as a side note, like other reviewers, I found the accompanying stylus pretty basic, so I just swapped it with my own, more favorite version, which fit perfectly.)
