The best looking tower fan short of the Dyson.
Intro:With the recent hot weather and a new born baby in the house, things were a little uncomfortable. I decided to buy a couple of remote controlled tower fans for the bedroom and living room to try and keep the air moving around the place. I ended up ordering this, and also the Honeywell ultra quiet model.Design:Definitely the best looking tower fan short of the Dyson one. But this is 6-7 times cheaper. This is really sleek looking - white and black, with a blue LED on the front that informs of the current temperature and touch sensitive controls on the top.Function:Plenty of modes - oscillation, multiple speed settings, sleep mode & timer.Performance:Really decent. Some reviewers on here mention that they expected more air movement but in fairness this is on a par with other tower fans that I have used.Noise:Given that I bought this alongside the Honeywell HY254E QuietSet Tower Fan which is meant to be ultra quiet, this isn't a great deal noisier. It IS noisier, but not by magnitudes, and this isn't specifically designed to be ultra quiet. It's more than suitable for a bedroom. Conclusion:I'm really pleased with this fan. It was beautifully packaged, no assembly required at all (unlike the Honeywell) and is simple to use and feature rich. This is absolutely the best looking tower fan available short of the £300+ Dyson. It's solid, built well and looks great. It's well thought out in both design and function - an example of this is the ability to dim the LED on the front for night time use so it's not distracting.Highly recommended.

Perfect for the hot weather
I've waited a few weeks to write this review, as I wanted to thoroughly test it out. I had been looking at more expensive options but couldn't really justify them. I debated long and hard and eventually went for this Igenix model.Although it can be a little noisy and quite powerful up close (say in a small room) it is overall an excellent bit of kit.It was a variable function which cycles through different fan speeds, I was skeptical about this initially but it's the mode I use the most often, it just seems to fade into the background somehow as the brain just gets used to it.The only downside is the really bright display on the front but a well placed "post it" note takes care of that!

Really pleased, does exactly what we needed from it
We have a Pro Breeze tower fan which has been around for ages, and would have simply bought another had they been in stock for next-day delivery last week. They weren't, so we bought this one instead. As it turns out: delivery was not 'next day' anyway, but did eventually turn up several days later. The fan itself is great: it looks very smart (although is massive compared to the other 30" fans we have), and runs relatively quietly. Aside from the delivery, there are a few things that let it down:The width of the air is very narrow compared to others: this is fine if you're only attempting to cool a relatively small area (or otherwise using the oscillate function, but that itself has a limitation...The angle of oscillation isn't as wide as you might expect. Placed in the corner of a room it will still cover the entire room, but I've been used to fans that have a little more movement in them. That light. As others have picked up on: the digital temperature is very handy, but also very bright in a darkened room during the night. To it's defence: it is possible to reduce the brightness by pressing and holding the 'mode' button, but it still lights up a room if you're trying to use it at night. As a general - and final - rant: whoever it was that decided all interactions with a fan should be accompanied by a loud bleep (it's not just this fan that does it), should be tasked with attempting to adjust the fan in the same room as their, heat-sleep-deprived, grouchy, sleeping baby.. Being able to disable this particular feature would be very beneficial indeed.Overall: it's a great fan, it's fairly quiet, it keeps a room cool, and it doesn't have any foibles that you won't find on many other products. I'm glad we bought it.

Quiet and seems to work weel
Quiet and powerful enough. I have this on the desk behind me and because the grille doesn't go to the bottom it doesn't blow my papers everywhere so that's good. When you turn it on, it's always back to the low settings so you have to select high again. It's quiet (important in an office) and much more elegant than a pedestal fan.

Defective after 2 months
Was really pleased when initially using and was a great deal price paid. However now after 2 months whilst the fan still works it can't be left plugged in as the fan constantly oscillates whilst not turned on but plugged in. May seem like a small gripe but still a defect that should not happen in something so new and clearly an inferior design of very poor quality. Also doesn't bode well for longer term survivability. Very disappointed.

Excellent fan, saved a few sleepless nights
Excellent fan, fairly quiet especially on the lowest setting. Looks great too. Having the remote control makes it so much easier to control. I found the screen fairly bright to have on at night but couldn't turn it off, so had to cover it up. The remote sensor is obviously in the screen, so I either had to have it covered or have it able to use the remote, but I didn't find this too awkward.

It rattles
I've had this product for a short time and while it was great at the beginning, it appears to have developed a rattle which is very disturbing when you're trying to sleep. Before the rattle I found the volume was very low, so really helped when trying to sleep in these really hot nights.

Super Cooler
Attractive design so doesn't look out of place in our living room. Seems to blow cool air and mostly the first setting is enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature . Bought on Amazon "Deals of the Day" at a really great price and now wish I had bought another 2 .
