Caline USA, CP-29 white heat Mixing Boost Guitar Effect

I use it as a clean boost in my amps fx loop and it seems to be (for me at least) the best use of this awesome little unit. It doesn't color the sound at all and if it does I can't hear it and gives huge amounts of boost in an fx loop if you want it. I only have to run the level just past halfway to get about a 4db boost and I use the gain knob sparingly but the gain is mild so you could use more extreme settings if you wanted without it getting harsh. I own so many more expensive pedals and gear and this thing here is one of my favorite pieces of gear.You won't be disappointed if you use it right.Update: I have started using it in the front of my amp with the gain on the amp set to edge of breakup and this pedal DELIVERS! Even better than using it in the FX loop. I want to buy 6 more just in fear they they will go out of production.

Between this and two other Caline pedals purchased around the same time I have become a fan. I know that these are knock offs but even the boutique makers do replica circuits. What I appreciate about this pedal is that at low gain it functions as a boost but as you increase the gain it just begins clipping slightly. There is more of the dial that is just breaking up part way not quite distortion yet. If you want full on distortion this won’t get there alone. This does more of a subtle type of loud. My only complaint is that the 9v input isn’t the best connector and is in an awkward place.

Better than most modern boutique boosts.
