Funny, Spicy and Sweet!!!
Even though I bought this a year ago and just finished reading it an hour ago, I thought it was one of those funny, spicy and sweet push/pull boss/employee romances that it’s so rare to enjoy reading it all the way through!!! The most hilarious part when Declan was singing & dancing to Come Get Your Love naked after taking a shower as his executive assistant Maddie walked into his hotel room because he didn’t answer her text messages or telephone calls?!? I liked their chemistry because even though they disagree or have teasing fits between them, there’s an mutual respect. Also I liked they didn’t sleep together right away even though Maddie had worked for Declan for two years and she acted her true attraction towards him until he asked her to be his faked girlfriend & accompany him to three family events over the Christmas holidays. Declan might’ve been an alpha but I thought he was pretty decent and respectful man especially when it came to Maddie. Also Maddie never bad mouthed and was never crass or made any rude remarks when Declan disagreed with her. I really enjoyed reading this holiday book even though it took a year and four months to finally find the time to read it!!! In other words, I loved it!!! It is now one of my favorite books that I previously bought on Amazon!!!

Hot Christmas-themed Romance
A fun Christmas-themed contemporary romance centered around the uniquely Italian-Irish alpha male boss known as Declan Cannavale and his equally outspoken executive assistant Maddie Cooper whose family is steeped in the heritage of Staten Island.Maddie is the best assistant Declan has ever had, and they both know it. But she hates that he thinks she’s on-call 24/7. Between texting and calling, he’s forever needy. Maddie also hates that he’s the hottest guy she’s ever met. Not that she hates hot guys, but why did he have to be her boss.Declan knows he’s demanding. He’s refined his life to reflect his tastes, in clothes, in food, in his apartment, and even in the women he admires. In fact he’s gone through seven assistants in just two months. But he’s had his eye on Maddie since he met her when she worked for another attorney. That was two years earlier and he pounced to hire her when his colleague retired. The fun begins when work-acholic Declan is pressured by his family to return to his hometown for Christmas. Not wanting to face his inquisitive family and his brother who is set to marry Declan’s former girlfriend, he sets forth a proposition with his assistant. In return for her accompanying him and acting as his fake girlfriend on a trip back to Cleveland, he will grant her additional days away from the office and work to spend with her family around the holidays. If she doesn’t agree, they will both spend almost all of their waking time at the office and working – holiday or not. Of course, in true attorney fashion, everything is set our in a legal contract. The hi-jinks that ensue when Maddie accompanies him to Cleveland and priceless and charming. Declan’s Italian nonna is precious – single minded when it comes to holiday traditions. But in true Scrooge-like fashion, Declan screws up his growing relationship with Maddie. And when she takes off before the festivities are over, he realizes how much he’s lost. Maddie returns to the bosom of her Staten Island family who are a caricature of every New Yorker. And thanks to Maddie’s thirteen-year-old niece, Piper, the Declan finds his way to Maddie. But once the holidays are behind them, can they still work together in the office and keep their relationship alive?Full of sass from the feisty assistant Maddie coupled with the softening of Scrooge Declan who gives in to his Irish-Italian roots, this charming love story is perfect for becoming a Hallmark Christmas movie.

L🤩VE!
These two intriguing characters make this book so hard to put down. I have busted out laughing throughout. This is full of sexual tension, sarcasm, a sexy boss, a sexy but super confident assistant, and a holiday with family. This Maddie doesn’t put up with anything, much less Declan’s shenanigans. No assistant has lasted longer than a month, but Maddie has lasted much longer. Although she pushes him to the point of firing her, he doesn’t. He secretly loves how she doesn’t put up with anything from anyone. He throws the punches, and she throws it right back with fire attached. It’s awesome! It’s funny! It’s really sexy!Merry Christmas, y’all!

perfect holiday romcom
If there is only one Holiday romance you read this year, it should be A Very Bossy Christmas. This book has the humor, the heat, two crazy families and Declan Cannavale.Declan is a lawyer for a real estate firm, he comes from an Irish-Italian family (you can only begin to guess what family get togethers are like) and he works hard. He may have gotten himself in trouble the moment he mentioned to his mother that he was dating someone. Maddie is an executive assistant to Declan and pretty much keeps his life on track. She just wants to spend the holidays with her family, but getting her workaholic boss to give her the time off is going to be tricky. When Declan offer’s her what she wants how can she refuse? It’s all just pretend.Declan and Maddie had chemistry from the beginning. There was an attraction between them from the start. I loved the banter between them, the fact that Maddie gives back as good as she gets. The woman is full of sass and I LOVED it. There is also plenty of playful flirting and several super sweet moments. Though, at times Declan was frustrating and I just kind of wanted to knock some sense into him.I loved Maddie’s niece Piper, plus the couple chapters from her POV were HILARIOUS. Declan’s family was absolutely hilarious and crazy. Maddie’s family was just as fun. If I could be adopted by both of their families I would in a heartbeat.A Very Bossy Christmas is the perfect Holiday romcom that will have you laughing and swoony from the very first page. A MUST READ!
