Expensive but absolutely worth it
Easy to clean- pops right on and off. I've both stuck it in the shower and the dishwasher. Biggest tray I've ever seen on a highchair- goes all the way around, great for eating and for toys. I was slightly put off by the price, but this is very high quality plastic, very stable and I think worth every penny.

Excellent
I held off buying this because of the issues with fit (with the new babyset). In fact, it's not a problem. We took the front bit off the baby set, leaving the back support bit and then fitted the play tray and strap. It fits fine and there's no way the baby can kick it off. My almost-6-month old isn't sitting up unsupported yet (although he's pretty good with a little support) and he manages well with the play tray and strap. In fact it's a lot easier to get him into the high chair with the play tray than it was with the baby set - the plastic front of the baby set made it a bit of an ordeal since his legs don't seem to bend the right way. The tray itself is great - a high rim to stop things ending up on the floor, easily cleaned and a great size. The price made me wince but - as another reviewer said - once you get over paying £50+ for a bit of plastic, you really appreciate the tray.

STAINS extremely easily
Apart from the large gap where food is unfortunately constantly dropped and stuck, as well as its very high cost, the white plastic stains in no time at all! Having been made aware of this risk as per the note that came with the item, I wanted to ensure that this would not happen and therefore cleaned the surface immediately if anything that may stain was touching it. Despite these efforts it was completely old looking and stained after less than a week. One would think that this would be made from non staining plastic given that its purpose is for feeding and play. I would recommend getting any other colour option than white!

Great tray, but a bit pricey!
We received the Tripp Trapp chair as a gift complete with brand new baby set, cushions and straps. We soon found that we needed a tray as food could easily slide off our table onto the floor. We reluctantly (because of its price) bought the Playtray. However, I must say that it is totally fit for purpose and I am very glad that I bought it. Its ideal and I think Stokke missed a trick by not having this as one of its own extras. Now we can allow my son to eat in his own unique way without worrying about food spilling over the sides. It also makes the chair far more practical and portable as I can put things on the tray to amuse him whilst I do my chores in rooms other than the dining room/kitchen - I just bring the chair & tray with me. I think the price of the tray is commensurate with the whole Stokke pricing range. If we pay £30 for Stokke straps, then £50+ for a tray is to be expected (though not necessarily right - see my comments below). Its not just any old plastic either, it IS durable and very good quality. To put this into context: It is THE best quality tray on the market, much better than my previous high chair tray and when you buy it, you'll know. The gap between the baby set and tray has been slightly over exaggerated (IMHO); every high chair has some sort of gap between child and tray because they are designed to suit a wide age range. Certainly, the benefits of having the tray definitely outweigh this minor gap. That said, times are hard, and the usefulness of the product does not take away from the fact that it is still overpriced by about 20%-30%, but I'd pay quite a large sum to make my life as a Mum a little easier and this tray does just that.

Excellent addition to the Tripp Trapp! Well worth the price
Well what can I say this is brilliant! We've had it about a week now and its been a god send. My sons toast stayed where it should and he eat better by picking the toast up from the tray. Easy to spray down to keep it hygienic too which for me was the reason we bought it. I don't take it on and off the Tripp Trapp as personally I think it would weaken the arms and snap eventually. So leave it on. Luckily our kitchen is big enough that this isn't an issue for us. Food doesn't seem to fall between the tray and the chair any more than other high chairs. Seems sturdy enough Very expensive but lets be honest here we've all forked out for the Tripp Trapp in the first place which isn't cheap so hey ho to that one! Although expensive its built exceptionally well and a lot of craftsmanship has gone in to this product. I'm not sure tbh what I expected but when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised at how well built this thing is. Annoyed I couldn't pay for next day delivery and it did take a while to come - was also left in my parents porch despite saying it needed to be signed for! No one did!!!! If you have been umming and rrrrring about this like me just get it, its well worth the money and seen as we are all invest in the Tripp Trapp you might as well just get it! Makes weaning so much easier!!

Issues with fit depending on whether you have Tripp Trapp's old or new babyset
Going down the baby led weaning route I really wanted a high chair which meant my daughter could sit at the table with the rest of us for mealtimes but could also be used as a traditional highchair. Having looked at my options the Tripp Trapp presented itself as the ideal option ONLY in the event of being able to get hold of a tray which could be added/removed as and when required fairly easily...and the Play Tray was highly recommended by a number of friends as being able to do this. The Play Tray is a brilliant best product and enables you to get the best possible use out of your Tripp Trapp (lets face it they're not cheap compared with many other highchairs)...and you are left wondering why Stokke doesn't manufacture something themselves given the gap in a Tripp Trapps functionality without a tray. However, word of advice...when fitted to a Tripp Trapp that has the new plastic babyset, the Play Tray DOES NOT fit the highchair snugly and an older toddler would certainly be able to move it and possibly come to harm. As it stands, we went ahead and used the tray with the plastic playset as my 6 month old has as yet to develop the strength or skill to dislodge the tray, and it was only on seeing a friends Tripp Trapp fitted with an old version of the babyset and a Play Tray that I realised the flaw and, having already shelled out for a Tripp Trapp, Play Tray and cushion set have now managed to get hold of the old version of the baby set so the tray now fits properly. I do highly recommend purchasing the Play Tray - its great, limits mess and gives you the option of using your Tripp Trapp pulled right up to the table at family mealtimes or as a more traditional highchair - but only if you have the old Tripp Trapp babyset NOT the new plastic baby set. Its a lot of money to spend if you then have to go out and get a second baby set to make everything work properly...though if there is something I'm missing and anyone has advice on how to get the tray to fit snugly with the baby set please do point out my mistake.

Great addition to the Tripp trapp!
We normally eat together at the table but when it's snack time I bring the chair and tray to the kitchen so I can cook while he eats...couldn't do it without the tray! The tray is good quality, easy to clean and easy to take on/off....some reviews mention a slight gap between the infant insert and inside of the tray...it's not a problem for us, if I'm worried about his outfit I just tuck his bib into the gap otherwise he throws far more food off the side that no tray would ever contain!

Don't delay, buy this!
I wondered about the expense of buying this, thinking perhaps that I could just sit my LO up at our table. A friend had one and said I must buy the tray and wouldn't regret it. It is BRILLIANT, very high quality, fits perfectly, couldn't be happier. LO sits and plays with toys placed on the tray and can be moved about so she can see what I'm up to too. The tray is easy to clean and fit. Don't delay, buy it (it's worth every penny!)

Tut was es soll
Toller Tisch.

The STOKKE TRIPP TRAPP HIGH CHAIR PLAY TRAY is a MUST have
It is a must with the STOKKE Tripp Trapp which is simply "the best ever" and is used for many years. I have used the High Chair for 10 years and recently bought the PLAY TRAY which has proven to be wonderful. It is sturdy, large and easy to clean. It hooks onto the chair well, with no struggle. I am a grandmother and don't know how I survived all those grandchildren without this tray. You and your child, will love it!
