Not Just For Kids!
What an amazing little thing. When I realized I only paid $8.00 for the best toy under the tree, I felt a little foolish. It hasn't been stuffed into a stocking yet but has been played over and over again. Not by my 12 year old son who I bought it for but by my 17 year old daughter, her friends, and I must admit, by me. The biggest fascination for me is wondering how they do it. The questions asked don't seem to pertain to your item until the end when it guesses correctly. On 10 items, this baby guessed 9 correct in 20 questions and needed a few extra questions to guess the 10th. The bad part about this "toy" is I had to go out and buy more for some of the older kids on my list. Some being in their 20s I might add. It's just too much fun. It's so nice to see a 2006 Toy of The Year Award that actually earns the title and costs under $10.00. You just can't beat it!

Disappointed in Customer Service
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the game, but the backlight on the screen does not work. It has never come on. Customer Service told me that they were sold out of this item & were unable to replace it. No other compensation was even discussed or offered.Thank You,Les~

Strangely Addictive
I just ordered my third 20Q game (I gave away the first two). My 4 year old granddaughter and I play with it together - she thinks of an item, I ask the questions and she responds. I see her little mind working as she identifies the answers to the questions - and the sillier the questions are, the better! Great for developing her thinking/reasoning skills. We love it when the 20Q ball gets it right (which is the case most of the time), and we feel a sense of victory (with high-fives) when we stump it!Also, I've enjoyed tossing it to random people at family gatherings, and then just watching... You see them pressing buttons as they answer questions, and typically after a while you see a surprised look with raised eyebrows when the 20Q ball guesses the object correctly!

Shockingly Smart
This is a very entertaining gadget. It asks 20 questions which generally differ each time depending on your responses. "Does it get wet?" "Is it a common household item?" "Do you hold it when you use it? From this type of question it has guessed correctly that I was thinking of a window, a towel, a wall, a computer, etc. I'm usually surprised that it can guess correctly given the questions it asks. I got this as a gift from my father. It sat around for a long time before I was bored enough to try it. When I finally did, I liked it so much I bought several as gifts for people at work. Try it -- you'll like it.

Can be amazing
The game I ordered came broken. It worked but pixels were missing or blank in the screen. That made it difficult to use.

Can be habit forming
The 20Q handheld game can be habit forming. It engages all age groups and a wide range of interests. I let a couple of students challenge it (and they had some off the wall mystery items) and they were astounded at how well this logic-driven device worked...seahorse, can of soup, chopsticks, nailfile. For children on the road, this will probably keep their attention for quite a while. One thing, turn the sound off. It can get irritating after a while. Go on, get one. They don't cost a lot and if anything, they can be a good conversation starter if you keep it on your desk in the office.

AMAZING
I bought one of these for my son several years ago (when they were a lot more expensive). Everyone in the family was absolutely amazed by it. Our family sometimes played 20 questions (without the help of a computerized device) every so often as a family activity. We found the Radica game to be far better at guessing the right answer than we humans. For a small and inexpensive device, the electronic intellegence is incredible. It's very hard to confuse it! I bought three more this year to give out to other people for Christmas. My son's is still going strong - after two years of lots of use - and we've never even replaced the battery! BUY THIS TOY! It's good for adults too!

Bought 2 times neither one worked
Bought one of these and the screen display didn’t work returned it and had another one shipped and same problem. Tried fresh batteries in both and same problem. The display screen only shows parts of the words and is completely illegible.I have one from years ago that actually still works so I know how they are supposed to function.Tried to get them to ship another to replace the second one that didn’t work and apparently not an option.Buyer Beware there seems to be a batch of these from this seller that are damaged.
