Wow!!! I have not had an air purifier in my home in 15 years. But what prompted me to get one now is I have noticed for years there is always dust that builds up all around my home and it had me thinking how I could lower the dust in my home. So I did a lot of research on air purifiers. It was a tough battle to make a decision between Levoit and other brands. Now I decided to get the Levoit because it has better benefits and the filters are not pricey. But I still wanted an air purifier that was great at filtering out 99 percent of particles and able to circulate the air in the room and keep dust to a minimum. Now, I bought the Vital 100S-P for our 170 square foot room even though this model can be used for a room about 300 square foot because I want a purifier that can over perform and really keep the air clean in our bedroom. Are you ready for this? So, I bought this purifier and me and my wife deep cleaned our bedroom with the air purifier running to help get all the dust in the air while cleaning. We even dusted all the walls and the roof to make sure we got every nook and cranny in the room. The crazy part is the light on the purifier stayed red the WHOLE TIME which was amazing to know because it tells me how bad the air quality is in the bedroom but it was even worse while cleaning it. When I took the front cover off, the pre filter mesh was COVERED IN DUST, see photo. That is just using it for one day WHILE CLEANING THE ROOM. After we finished, I vacuumed the pre filter and the purifier was still showing red for about 30 minutes then turned blue. I am really happy with this air purifier. I love how quiet it is at the lowest setting, the smart app shows a lot of details and has extra settings to make the purifier even better. We used it one night on auto mode and it was whisper quiet. I even tested this purifier when my wife was doing her nails and the smell from the nail polish was absorbed so fast, the smell was gone within a couple minutes. The air flow at max speed is not loud but it really performs the best. I have allergies and asthma and this is gonna help me a bunch. I also bought the bigger model for our living room and we will deep clean it while the purifier is running to catch all the dust flying around. I recommend this to everyone wanting cleaner air in your home. 5 stars!!

I have had several air filters over the years and have always been slightly disappointed with them and unsure of whether or not they are truly helping. After doing a lot of house cleaning and dusting, I wanted something to help maintain cleaner air so I tried this. I can honestly say this is one of those rare semi life changing purchases. I immediately noticed a marked change in my indoor air quality as a long time allergy sufferer and being sensitive to smoke, pollen and other contaminants. The change was much more significant compared to other air filters I have tried. I keep mine on the medium setting and run it 24 hours a day. It's surprisingly quiet and the subtle noise doesn't bother me at all when reading or watching tv, I actually prefer it as a source of white noise. I can breathe and sleep so much better now and it also heavily reduces odors from cooking. It's so good that I bought another one for a separate room. I also like the extra features like pet mode, the air quality sensor, and smart device features. The air sensor is surprisingly accurate and changes if I dust or clean nearby or cook something a little smokey. I haven't tried the app and smart features yet but they're nice to have as an option. The filter is very easy to set up and I haven't had to replace it yet. Truly cannot recommend it enough.

My bedroom is only 224 sq ft, and despite the advertised coverage, it just didn't noticeably improve the air quality for my needs. I ended up replacing it with a medical-grade filtration system. If you have lighter air quality demands, this could be a great fit. The design and smart features are excellent. I just wish the real-world air cleaning had matched the marketing.

We got this air purifier after our daughter was diagnosed with dog allergies. We do have a golden doodle and while our daughter doesn't have strong allergic reactions to our doodle (she does to other shedding dogs) the allergist recommended we get one for her room. We put this purifier in our daughters room and leave the door closed at all times. While hard to truly measure its effectiveness, her room doesn't have dust settle on furniture like the rest of the house and her ceiling fan doesn't collect dust like others, or at least at a MUCH slower rate. Love the ability to lock the screen so she cant mess with the settings. The purifier runs very quiet and in sleep mode you can barely tell its on. Love that the lights on the display turn off when it's dark in the room. For the price I am very impressed with its performance. It is not too big but cant exactly be hidden easily. Fortunately it looks nice and is not too industrial looking. We've had it for almost a year now and have had no issues at all. The filters seem very high quality and although a little expensive, the the filters do last a while. Overall we have been very impressed with its cleaning ability, different mode settings and features, quietness, and would say its fairly inexpensive for all that. We just ordered the 200S to put in the main living area.

I decided to splurge and get one of these as I heard they are good at lowering the dust levels, and over the years we have acquired six cats, so was hoping this in combination with my robot vac would help with the cat hair. I parked it in my living room which is right by my kitchen and we have open floor plan, had just been wandering how big of a difference it was truly making when my 14 year old decided to make herself a grilled cheese, on high heat, in a stainless steel pan 🫠 the app alerted me that the air quality was bad so I ramped it up to the highest speed level and in only thirty minutes the burnt smell and smoke was completely gone. Normally I would have had to open the windows and fan the front door open and shut like a crazy person. That capability alone has made it worth it to me. As far as features, I haven’t used sleep mode but I did set up a schedule. The highest setting is loud but that’s expected, the lower two settings are very quiet. Appearance is nice and modern, and you can turn the display lights on and off or set them to automatically go off once it detects darkness. Overall I’m really glad I bought this.

We’ve been using this LEVOIT air purifier daily and the difference in our air quality is noticeable! It runs super quietly, even on higher settings, which makes it perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, and nurseries. Within the first day, I noticed less dust, fresher-smelling air, and fewer allergy symptoms. It’s very easy to set up, has multiple fan speeds, and the auto mode adjusts based on air quality which I love. The sleek design blends beautifully with home decor and doesn’t take up much space for how powerful it is. It also covers large rooms extremely well, which is a huge bonus. If you have pets, allergies, kids, or just want cleaner air in your home, this is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Update to my previous comments: It's been 2 years since I purchased the Vital 100S and it has worked very well for me. Until ... I just purchased a replacement filter for the unit this month. I considered buying the knockoff filters because they were significantly cheaper than the Levoit replacements. The only reason I went with the Levoit branded replacement filter was because it looked like it included the washable pre filter. I specifically wanted another pre filter as a backup in case something happened to the one that came with the unit. They are not flimsy, but neither are they invincible! What if I tear it, or lose it, or my dog eats it (which could absolutely happen!) ? The knockoff brands made it very clear in their product descriptions that the pre filter was NOT included with the replacement filter. However, the product description for the Levoit replacement filter uses phrases like "3 in 1", "washable pre filter", and the pictures of the product show the pre filter and DO NOT specify that it isn't included. I am very disappointed with this order and Levoit's shoddy advertising. And I want a spare pre filter, but it seems I can't find one for love nor money! I bought the Vital 100S. Like many reviewers of this product, I purchased it because the wildfire smoke had infiltrated my house. I never ever thought that I would be "that" person - someone who needed their own atmosphere! But the irritation in my nose and throat motivated me to buy this unit for my well-being. The reasons I chose this model are: the true HEPA, of course! Also the 3-stage filter. The CADR was good for the size of my rooms (I have open concept on the main floor, and a vaulted ceiling upstairs) the pre-filter is cleanable and I like the fact that I can also get specialized filters for Pet, Toxin and Smoke (in case things get really crazy!). The reviews are excellent and the price is right. I am seriously considering buying another of Levoit's units for the upstairs! I have not used any of the "connected" features so I cannot comment on those. The unit is easy to unpack and I was able to start using it immediately. It is very presentable; it's also light enough to be portable because I've been moving it from room to room (when the wind shifts sometimes the smoke comes into a different part of the house). It's super easy to use; I love the control panel, you just tap on it to turn it on, set the fan strength, and activate the timer. The first 2 fan settings are so quiet that I can barely hear that the unit is on. The third setting is a little louder but it IS moving a lot of air after all! I've only had it 2 weeks so haven't had to clean it or change the filter. One thing I didn't consider thoroughly was the placement of the unit. In order to work properly any air purifier needs to be kind of in the middle of things. Proper placement of an air purifier is between 3 and 5 feet off the ground, with about 3 feet of open space around it. Luckily, the 100S fits well with my decor and is light enough to put on a table or my bookshelves. I was worried that it might vibrate a lot and eventually shake itself off the table but it's staying put quite well. So far, I am very satisfied with this purchase.
