I've had a problem with crab grass for years. Have put weed and feed with crabgrass killer on my lawn every year for 8 years. Always the same. Crab grass halter kills off the crab grass only to have it return in the summer. Keep repeating. Saw this particular Snap Pac last fall. Used it and had no crab grass last summer. Tried to buy again at Lowe's and Home Depot, but they didn't have it. Got it this seller thru Amazon. Got it in 2 days. Put on lawn for preventive maintenance. Works great.

Treated my lawn today with the Scott's Snap Fertilizer with Crabgrass Preventer. I usually have to purchase two 15000 sq ft bags and one 5000 sq ft bag. Additionally I have to set my broadcast spreader at .5 setting lower than recommended just to have enough to treat entire lawn. The bags usually have fertilizer clumping as large as softballs that have to be manually broke apart.Now for the snap system....I purchased eight bags at 4000 sq ft each and have less than one left after treatment. There was no clumping in bag, distribution of fertilizer went on evenly making 5 ft passes with the Snap Spreader. The spreader was extremely light to push. Snap bags fastened to Snap spreader without any issues. When fertilizer fails to come out of spreader, the bag needs replaced. No spreader settings to set, it is automatic.Only negative comment would be after you press lever to make fertilizer come out of spreader, when you release the lever, fertilizer continues to come out of spreader. This is not adequate when going through a gate and have to stop and close it. Otherwise the snap system is a great system. Cost is a few dollars more per bag but the convenience is worth it. Amazon does a great job with shipping and packaging.

My lawn boy refuses to rinse under his mower, so he spreads crabgrass and other weed seeds over my pampered lawn. Was told to spread this in spring before the crabgrass germinates. I was not expecting much, but I've only had 2 sprigs of crabgrass that have seeds on them. I pulled them up. There were several new weeds he brought into my yard, so I've pulled them out as well. I think the crabgrass is still there it just doesn't produce seeds, so hopefully that will be the end of that. Lawn greened up very fast. We had a freakish 16°F night after I spread this, but it still seems to be working, where my neighbor's yard turned brown. Will update any major issues if they rise up

Grass healthy and plush no signs of crabgrass. Looking forward to using the other snap products this year to maintain a healthy weed free lawn.

Scott's does a great job thickening up the yard. We've used this product for years. The traditional yard spreader has always been a problem for us though. Getting the right amount was always a problem. The Snap Pac unit is not the most cost effective way to do the job, but it does do a great job delivering the right amount of fertilizer to your yard without the chance of spilling any. The key with crabgrass is to catch it BEFORE it germinates. Use this VERY EARLY in the spring, then "weed and feed" late spring, and follow up with this "crabgrass preventer" again late summer (basically follow this pattern on months 3, 6, & 9). Some people use winterized (around month 12) but we don't really see much difference. Recommended!!

Scotts is a reliable product. I purchased the snap fertilizer unit and love it. It is so easy to use. Easy to connect and store once finished. No mess and locks in when installed and unlocks easy and after use easy to store with no spillage. I recommend highly.

I got the snap system late last year as it was on sale. Previously for weed control I used the bottle to your hose stuff which would work very well. I got this as recommended by Scotts and put it down early spring. I was pretty generous with the amount that I layered down. Now, mostly this worked wonders- however, there are more than a couple of weeds that have managed to find their way into my yard where I used this product. Compared to nearby neighbors that must not have used anything- there is no comparison but I have to only give three stars because I now have to go through my yard and use spray for the ones that somehow still made their way.The good thing about this is that it surely does help the grass grow and keep a nice deep green. I just wished it was more effective with the weeds.

I do think Scotts is the best. Last year was the very first time I treated my lawn with this product. I moved into home near fall before. My full lawn I have to say was all crabgrass. This product worked great. I had many complements on my grass. Next year will be even better. I purchased this at a steal of a price on Amazon.
