I recently purchased a new to me Volvo XC40 and wanted to personalize it a bit. I wasn’t a fan of the factory black key fob and found this. The color is exactly as pictured and was easy to change out.

Buy it!!!
I love this key cover replacement. It doesn’t seem to be an authentic Volvo part, but who cares as long as it works. I did have trouble getting my official/original cover off, which I had to work hard with a screwdriver for a little while, but I followed all the youtube videos and it came off eventually. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t seem as secure as the original one, but it hasn’t fallen off my key yet, so that’s what counts. It does feel a bit loose/wiggling though. I have a 2016 xc90, if that helps anyone. Otherwise, the version case I got is smooth and sleek. It doesn’t have any raised detail/decorations on the new white case and so it doesn’t catch on anything when I’m dragging it out of my purse. Definitely don’t hesitate to make this purchase, if you’re on the fence.

Amazing replacement for OEM
This basically replaced the OEM shell of the fob,which is just a big black plastic cover..It was pretty easy to replace after going through the instructions,and it looks spectacular compared to the original..Great buy..

Great product to replace the cover of the OEM key. Easy to install. Wish it came in more colors (the ones matching the exterior paints)
