The Hot Stuff
If you want to know what to do with left-over rice, this is the answer. Fry up any thinly sliced veg you have, dice up some cooked meat, throw in some shredded omelette and a couple of spoons of the paste. A quick heat and stir thru and Bingo ! It is medium hot but fresh chillies and spring onions can be sliced on top for extra heat. A cold beer is essential also.Delish !

Authentic taste.
Just when I had given up on finding a currently available decent source of this I was pleased to Discover these jars. A bit spicy, just as I used to love it in Malaysia. So many products are nothing like the proper taste.

oyster sauce not welcome
In my opinion oyster sauce is not something that belongs in Nasi Goreng, it overpowers the taste. I will stick with sambal, shrimp paste and kecap manis.

nice
i used to buy nasi goreng paste from sainsburys but for some reason they stopped making it. I've been on the hunt for a new paste ever since and came across this. Whilst it tastes very different it is still nice - more tomatoey and not as spicy -but you can easily rectify the spice bit yourself
