Unlike previous reviewers, my machine did come with instructions, which were clear and easy to follow. It was easily assembled by one person. There are some very good design features of this machine, so there has obviously been input from people who have actually split logs before. The duo blade works very well, and binding of logs is less than on my single blade splitter. The duo blades are also slightly angled downwards, which means they works very well for logs that don't have square ends (which is most of them, in my experience!), and also it stops legs from racking upwards as the jaws close together. Cycle time is good, and much much quicker than my old manual hydraulic splitter. The length stop is a brilliant idea. The machine can take logs up to 460mm, but most are shorter than that, so using the stop saves you wasting time taking up the slack with shorter logs. The screw lock for this mechanism keeps coming loose, though, so a cam lock might be a better design. I was concerned that the frame looked a bit flimsy, but it's perfectly adequate. It's main weakness is that the locking castors are just underneath the fixed splitting wedge, which is where the newly split logs tend to fall. If you use the work table attachment this probably wouldn't be an issue. I didn't though, so heavy logs kept falling on the castors and bent them pretty badly. Another slight niggle is the short power lead. This is only a problem because your extension cable needs to be near the machine, and heavy logs can break it (and did!) when they fall off. As for capacity, this machine was able to deal with any logs I could put on it. I suspect that any logs that are too thick for it to break would be too heavy for me to lift on to the platform in the first place. I have used it to split up the wood from nine ash trees, and it's still going strong. I don't normally do product reviews (can't be bothered), but I was seriously impressed with this machine, and it is highly recommended.

I ordered the 7 ton version of this splitter. Delivery was prompt. The instructions could be better as there was a bag of bits in the box with no details of what to do with them! It took a bit of time and common sense to figure out where these bits were supposed to go. The guard was missing and there was no indication that the model I had was the 7 ton rather than the 5 ton. I queried this with the supplier who responded quickly, the guard was delayed due to Covid issues and the 7 ton can be identified by the extra welding on the back blade. Once the machine was set up it was easy to use and very effective at splitting all types of log , dry and wet, large and small. I got a winter's worth of log burner material cut up in a few hours. An excellent investment! Highly recommended.

We have our own wood supply which has to be felled, logged and then split and stored to dry out. We burn the wood in a wood burning stove. Our previous splitter broke and bent the ram/piston, it was 8 years old. Repairs were uneconomic so after looking around I settled on this one. With its axe head both ends, and adjustable back stop, this one splits quickly fron either end or both. So far it has dealt with everything with violent results occasionally! It was heavy and therefore not that easy to mount on the stand but with a bit of help it can be done. In use, with its 4 wheels, it is very stable and easy to move on a concrete floor. The brakes on the front castor wheels work well, ours will not be used outside so the small wheels are not a problem for us. At my age using an axe is not on but this machine makes the splitting job possible for me!

Best £300 ever spent. It has chewed its way through four tons of logs with no fuss or bother. Fairly easy to put together, I did it on my own with a couple of saw benches to take the weight whilst I put frame on. very nicely made. thick paint. quality fastenings. A broken wheel on arrival was replaced within 24 hours. pros... quiet, reasonable fast, very strong splitting power, compact size. cons, need to check the fastenings every hour or two as they can work loose with the bang from a splitting log. need to put a bridge over the cable to protect it from falling logs (common sense). Overall a brilliant bit of kit and I'm so pleased to hang up my splitting axe.

This is a sturdy well made machine. It definitely takes two people to assemble on to the stand. I am giving this 4 stars as I ordered the higher power unit (7 Ton) but there was no marking on the box indicating this when it arrived. I called the supplier who simply said I had the correct unit but couldn't answer how they knew as there is no marking on either the machine or the box! I then called the manufacturer and they said the only way you can tell is either by the label on the unit or by it being sent back to them for testing. When I pointed out that the label on the machine wasn't marked they simply said that this happens sometimes. So in the end I have left it! It seems to work great, but no idea if I have the more powerful version or not (Hence 4 stars) As with all log splitters knotted woods can get stuck, but this unit deals with most types and sizes I throw at it, so overall very happy! Just wish I knew for sure what I was buying! By the way. Forrest Master confirmed the seller was a genuine Forest Master seller., so I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Wow what a machine. Quite difficult to set up on its stand as it is very heavy but once set up it’s fantastic at splitting those logs

Arrived earlier than quoted which was pleasing. Minor assembly problem as there was one bolt missing but was soon replaced from my own source. Construction was pretty straightforward, two people carrying out the work certainly helped as considerable weight involved. Once constructed the splitter make short work of both wet and dry wood I tested it with. Early days but assuming it continues to perform I have no hesitation in recommending this brilliant piece of kit.

La fendeuse est vraiment super, le matériel est vraiment intéressant. Le problème ne se situe pas au niveau de l’objet commandé mais au niveau de la livraison! Celle-ci a été faite par la société fedex. En principe cette boite doit ou devrait fonctionner correctement mais dans mon cas on parle forcément de fedex belgique! Je n’ai pas le droit de dire la vérité sous peine de censure comme vous le savez je vais donc m’arrêter là mais imaginez le pire, avec toute la vulgarité que vous voulez et ce ne sera pas encore suffisant pour décrire au plus juste l’incompétence de ces gens....merci de m’avoir lu.

Raja perfectamente leños incluso de más de 40 cm de diámetro, de madera de encina, olivo y olmo. Lo pero son las instrucciones que están mal detalladas, así como las instrucciones de montaje de las patas. Al ser muy pesada la máquina, recomiendo instalar las patas con la máquina en el suelo y ajustándoles los elementos poco a poco, para después levantarla completa. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra, que me ahorra un montón de trabajo.

Ho comunicato al venditore la presenza del danno e, con sollecitudine, ho ricevuto un nuovo carter. Adesso la soddisfazione è totale e posso dare le meritate 5 stelle.
