Following up her critically acclaimed album Hidden Vagenda, with an album that continues her mission to reach out to those with ears to the ground looking for answers, Kimya Dawson will release Remember That I Love You, May 9th on K Records. Remember That I Love You is the latest chapter, and represents not only Kimya's continued personal adaptation to the tumultuous world around her, but also the growing relationship between the fans and friends she needs just as much as they need her. The 12 song CD, by the Moldy Peaches co-founder, was recorded on the home computers of friends of hers in Portland, OR. and New York City. This Album aims to show others they should love their bodies whatever shape or form they might come in. It gives hope to those who keep on fighting for their beliefs even when it seems nobody is listening.

Great Product
Good music!! I love Kimya Dawson. As for the quality of the product, I missed the fact it was used though. The back of the cover had a few stains/bends, all minor, and the CD itsself only had a few scratches. Apart from that the quality is good and I'm very happy about it.

Short and Sweet
It's a good CD that I reccomend if you enjoyed the music you heard from her on the Juno soundtrack. However, for 15 dollars you'd think they wouldn't completely F you in the A on the packaging. All you get is a simple cardboard sleeve which offers absolutely zero protection for your 15 dollar investment in this band. Way to skimp. I'd understand this if the CD cost 6-10 dollars - but being as this is one of the most expensive CD's I've purchased in a long time you'd expect some sort of decent treatment for the physical product.

Great Music!
I was mostly used to modern pop music, but after hearing Kimya Dawson songs on "Juno" I decided to buy this CD. I was a little disappointed that my package came late, but I enjoyed the CD. I started listening to alternative folk and other songs like this even retro music.

Sweet, strong, honest
Some of these songs will upset you very much, and some may help you keep going when you're not sure if you can. Kimya Dawson is not for everyone, but she is extremely earnest and clever with a good sense for the rhythm of words.

leaves you smiling
I can assume that I am one of many that hadn't heard of Kimya Dawson until Juno, and "Remember That I Love You" features most of the songs she contributed to the soundtrack. I expected that these songs would all be the standouts, and though Loose Lips is possibly still the best song on the album with a catchy-as-hell chorus and cheery tune, the whole album is strong start to finish.I'm usually one to go for punk, hardcore, metal and the like, but the fact that this is acoustic and more pop than the Moldy Peaches wasn't a factor - I enjoyed especially "My Mom", "Underground" and "I Like Giants", as well as Tire Swing, Loose Lips and the full version of My Rollercoaster, which even features a little Metallica reference. This isn't music that I'd typically listen to, but I loved it. Definitely worth the purchase.

A wonderful unique listening experience.
'Remember That I Love You' reminds me of childhood, it reminds me of being ten playing hop-scotch with my friends, picking flowers to turn into chains and yet its not for children at all, it speaks to the adult. Its whimsical and fun, warm heartening and sincere.About the cost here at Amazon. The quoted price of $135 for a new CD, $99 for a very good used copy with the cheapest copy coming in at $18, is completely ridiculous. Unless Ms. Dawson is actually going to jump out of the CD and perform in the flesh in my living room there is no reason to pay $135 dollars for this CD. If you go directly to the website of K Records, who actually produced this CD then you can buy a copy for $10. Yes that's right, ten dollars. So remind these sellers that you are not so high on crack as to notice that you are being fleeced and force them to charge reasonable prices. The only way I would pay $135 for this CD is if it were one of the last three remaining in the world.

Dorky Yes, but Unquestionably Great
I've discovered Kimya Dawson only a few months back, having heard "Caving In" and "I Like Giants" on a local station. I confess to being baffled at first by her sing-song delivery and her overly earnest themes, but I'm always on the lookout for someone with a different approach to music and her songs certainly catch the ear. After a few more chance encounters, I picked up the album and was quickly won over by her enthusiam and unique sound. The songs on 'Remember That I Love You' may at first remind you of the dorky girl you went to church camp with who played campfire guitar; but it would be misleading to say the charm of this album is only its unassuming sound. After a number of listens I have found myself filled with considerable admiration for Kimya's arrangements, in their colorfullness and spareness. They are perfect little origami songs with everything in place in just the right proportion. Folksy and idiosyncratic, but quite fun and sometimes quite moving (the song "12/26" is an example). I can think of a number of rather more famous bands who could benefit from listening to this album and dissecting what Kimya has done here. Who knows where her ideas come from, but she's on to something. No question about it.Highly original.
