Continental at Ride Fahrrad Reifen // 42-622 (28×1,60´´)

I wanted to up the size and install more aggressive tread so I can bike on gravel. This is just the ticket. I 've gone from a 700x28 to a 32 to a 37 and now this tire, a 42. The tire width just clears my frame and brings a stability to gravel that I've never had. Predictably, this tire is not as smooth as a road tire but for me, well worth the trade off. Since this is new, I will need to ride for some time to determine how it holds up.

This is a decent tire and works well on gravel. I can’t speak to the durability yet but they do make riding on gravel and bumpy roads smoother and more enjoyable especially if they’re not inflated to the maximum pressure.The tires are definitely not 42mm however. Measuring with calipers I get slightly larger than 38mm. The height of the sidewalls gives some extra cushioning and room to adjust the air pressure down without having to worry about pinch flats.Another small nit is that the air pressure range is not written on the tire itself so you just kind of have to remember it yourself.Overall a decent tire. Just not a 42.

I have been using Schwalbe's Racing Ralph on the front for years, but Schwalbe has stopped making the RR in 2.35. I gave these a try and am very happy with the grip and predictability. They are much more confidence inspiring than the RR on the front. They set up tubeless very easily.

Das waren meine ersten Faltreifen und ersetzen die Original-Bereifung.Da mein Arbeitsweg sehr abwechslungsreichen Untergrund bietet, inklusive Wald,- Feld,- und Schotterwege, war mir ein groberes Profil wichtig.Dass die Reifen auf Asphalt etwas lauter und grummelig werden könnten, nahm ich im Vorfeld in Kauf - und wurde angenehm überrascht.Selbst bei 2,8bar höre ich die Reifen nicht aufdringlich surren.Und der Grip auf anspruchsvollerem Untergrund ist tadellos.Gefahren werden die Reifen auf einem Trekking-EBike, überwiegend 2,8bar und sporadisch bergab bis 42km/h.Klare Kaufempfehlung
