I bought this from the seller, but not from Amazon, which I will do next time. Bought this for my dog who has inflammatory bowel condition, could be colitis. It is the only thing which stops the blood and mucus in his stools. Before each meal, I use a teaspoon (measurement spoon not domestic teaspoon) in his dish, pour just a little boiling water on it. this allows the powder to take up the water and become gloopy - the official word is mucilaginous! This happens whilst I am getting his food ready. Then just mix in his warmed home made wet food and all is well. If humans want to take this, it can be taken as powder in yogurt or soup, but it is a bit gritty. Best put some warm water on it, leave it to become gloopy and then mix it into some food. Doesn't taste bad and it will be worth having the relief as this substance coats the bowel and prevents further inflammation. You can look up the way it works online if you want further detail. Looks as if my dog will be on this for the rest of his life. Good to know I can get a kilo at a time from this seller. Huge relief, and my dog would say Thank You if he could.

A good price for a good product. Well packaged and sealed. Only slight downside is this marshmallow root powder has a grittier texture than others I've tried. (Hence four stars, not five) Good value though.
