We have minkaAire Light Wave Fan. Model Number F844. The light started flickering and we searched online for a replacement and even contacted the minkaAire and they told us we need to contact the dealer. Unfortunately, its not easy to get a light replacement and not easy to locate a dealer, and even if you find one, it is VERY expensive.So bought this product to try it out. Getting off the Light assembly cover was little tricky, we had to hold the base metal piece with a plier and pull the plastic cover; without that it was difficult to take out the cover as there's no place to hold the base and pull the cover. Once the cover was out, we cut the wire of the old LED light from it's base, and simply twisted the new LED wires to it (after cutting the length little short), and wrapped with electrical tape.And it worked great, initially it looked quite dim. One thing we didn't realize is that this is a dimmable LED light, and we were the second owner of the minkaAire Light Wave Fan. Keep pressing the light button for longer will adjust the dimmability and then was bright a we had expected.It;s been more than a month now, and the LED light has performed well, and saved us lot of money, since we didn't had to buy the entire light assembly.We recommend the product, and it;s a good quality,

I bought this unit to replace the light in my Minka-Aire F844-WH ceiling fan, which had started to flicker. I thought I would likely need to modify the board to get it to fit, but that wasn't the case. The Ledytech board fit perfectly onto the original heat sink, and the screw holes lined up precisely. It takes some force to get the plastic diffuser off the light, but once the board is exposed, the change out is straightforward. I did remove the power connector from the original board and soldered it onto the Ledytech board to make connecting / disconnecting it easier. The light has been in use for a few weeks now with zero issues.

Mother/daughter project and we got it installed pretty easily!!I kept thinking of the old joke about how many people does it take to install a light bulb. In my case it took 3. Me and my 12 year daughter took an hour to pull the unit apart. I had no idea what I was looking at when I saw that circuit board.The guy at Lowes didn’t even know what it was when I showed him a picture, nor did they carry anything in store.So glad I found this unit on Amazon!I watched multiple installation videos but truly it was super easy. The tiny wires were scary for a half a second but ended up being the easiest part.Only one hole matched up (metal casing) but the unit is so lightweight it doesn’t really matter. I used a sticky backing from the old unit to help secure but that isn’t necessary. Anyway, I’m thankful to have found this unit although I’ll likely keep looking for a long term replacement. The light is dimmable but it’s way too white bright. It belongs in a lab or garage and definitely not a bedroom!! My 17 y/o daughter took lead by cutting off the power at the circuit breaker and disconnecting the old wires and reconnecting the new. She can’t put air in her tires but had no problem replacing this unit.So again, super glad that I found a unit that is universal AND easy to install but really hate the super brightness. There’s info on the unit that indicates the wattage but I just grabbed the closest thing that resembled what was previously there.As I type, I’m sitting here looking up at the light and it’s uncomfortably bright even on a low setting. The side lamp might help for comparison.I took pics on a couple of different levels of brightness. Good luck!

My kids complained that the fan light made their room hot. The light cover was always hot, burning to touch! I decided to go with this light upgrade kit and was pleased with the ease of installation! Came with everything needed to replace the factory light. I was lucky and I didn't have to use the supplied plastic cover and magnetic legs. My lamp holder actually little knock out legs that crimped the led circle in place! If was a win win for me. After cutting the wires from the original bulb holder, taking out some fiberglass insulation and hooking up the wires, it was done. It took just 3 min to complete. Light is very bright and dimmable! And best part of all... no longer hot!!

This was bought to replace a halogen bulb. It’s not much brighter than what I had. I bought this because so many reviewers said how bright it was. I’m not impressed. It works fine. It dims to just 10% if you want it to. It was really easy to install and the magnet system really helped make this easy. Another thing I dislike about it is the light is really bright in the middle of the globe cover and dimmer toward the edges. I couldn’t get my phone to get a clear pic of that. All in all for the money it’s adequate.

I used this to replace a flickering LED assembly in a Minke-Aire F844 fan that I bought in 2016. It fit perfectly, tho it needed minor soldering to adapt the wiring. So far, it is clearly brighter and seems to run cooler than the original LED assembly, which would make sense given that LEDs have advanced considerably in the past 8 years. I hope it lasts a long time.

The light on my grandma’s fan was flickering. My dad took it to Home Depot and was told that he needs to replace the entire fan since they don’t have the part. I said, hold up, found this on Amazon for $12. My dad is not good with electrical stuff so it took him a while but he got it to work! Bright white light!

Bought a very expensive LED floor lamp at a substantial discount because the store broke the led components. I bought this and replaced the light, it was a near exact fit with a tiny modification. Saved nearly $300 in the process. So happy I bought a second one to replace a Halogen bulb fixture in another light. These are very versatile in their applications if you are a little handy. I'll probably buy more as I need them.

I used this to replace a fan light that was starting an annoying flicker. The exact LED circuit board is no longer manufactured. This one had the same diameter with a slightly deeper lens cover which was no issue in my application. I cut the old connecter off of the old circuit board and used a couple of wire connectors to splice it onto the new board. The whole job took about 10 minutes. The old light was fairly yellow in colour. The new light is much brighter, whiter and no more flicker. Very happy with the light.

The fan was installed before we moved in 6 years ago and lately when set to low dimming the light was fine but when increased it eventually started to flicker indiscriminately. I thought like other LED lights I would be forced to replace the whole fan but after much researching I decided to follow advice from others and try this. The part installed close to the original mounting screw holes and the taller capacitor means the original clear plastic cover wouldn't fit. It's been running for a few days now and the wife is happy.
