Wow so pleased with this!
The reviews I read were a bit of a mixed bunch but for me this is simply a great piece of kit. Its now hanging on the provided wall mounting nicely hidden away under my stairs in a cupboard, and charging. It does an absolutely brilliant job and is so light and easy to use.The instructions (Pictorial) are clear and the ease of operation and cleaning the unit are pretty straightforward. Now due to hair on carpets my house was in need of a good vacuum and this did not disappoint although I had to 'defluff' the head after as it had done such a great job.....the instructions for this were clear to in picture form.At a quarter of the price of some well known brands I cannot believe they could be four times better. This unit is so light and easy to use that vacuuming is actually fun as well as being quick.True battery usage is relatively short and charging time a little long but I did a three bedroom house top to bottom including stairs in 10 minutes so no problem for me but could be one if you live in a mansion. The suction for a cordless was brilliant, much better than I tought having always gone for corded units before now.All in all great value.

Read My Review!!
I don't ever write reviews, but I thought my views below would be most helpful!Carpets:I am really pleased with this hoover and use it all the time... BUT I would say it is pretty rubbish for carpets when you use it normally (my entire house is cream carpeted), however I find it is much much much more effective when you use your other hand to push down on the tube, this puts weight on the brush bar at the bottom and it makes a huge difference, it sweeps everything up!! I am 26 and fairly fit so I'm happy to do this as I go around the whole house (you have to bend over to apply the weight on the tube), but I do find my back aches a little after this so an older person wouldn't want to do this. If I don't vacuum in this way I find it rubbish and would probably not use it!No matter what I do, I still find that I have to go over the same spot a few times for some more stubborn bits on the carpet, but as it is so light it is still quick and easy to do this.Hard Floors:It's very good on hard floors (kitchen and hallway), no real issues there apart from larger pieces like dry cat food - I find I have to place the brush bar on top of these bigger pieces rather than push it over for it to suck up.Conclusion:Overall, when using the Hoover in the way I do, I'd say it is great... it will never be as good as a normal plug in vacuum, so I keep ours for deep cleans, but it does a good enough job for this to be a rare occurrence. Also it's great for cleaning the car and stairs and any tough to reach crevices. Use it the way I do: 10/10. Use it the way it is supposed to be used: 6/10.

Good Vacuum, for the money.
I got this via Amazon's Marketplace, so I paid quite a bit less than the retail price. For the money, this is a good vacuum cleaner, which also looks great - I purchased the Red version which looks modern and stylish. The Hoover, takes a couple of hours to do a full charge. On a full charge, I get roughly 25 minutes, enough to clean my small home. The suction is good, and it does a good job on my carpets, and hallway. The attachments are good enough, and have a nice tight fit.I lowered the rating by 1 star because the Hoover can cut out after a few seconds of use. There is no warning light, or anything, it just stops. The reason for this is possibly a thermal sensor, once it gets hot it cuts out. Another reason is that its very easy to block the main filter up - not the rear filter. So once it starts to cut out, you need to fully remove the filter and give it a good clean. This is a major pain because, while it's easy to take apart, it's not so easy to put back together due to the way the filter box clips to the main body.Still, it's a good hoover, and very easy to use.

Started well but soon became pretty useless.
For the first 2 months the Hoover worked fantastically, so light and easy to use and get the whole house clean in minutes. Suction was better than our previous upright corded vacuum. However, it felt like as soon as the 60 day return window closed the performance dramatically dropped. The main issue is the rubber/plastic valve between the bin. It appears to be flimsy so it doesn't close properly, it also gets stuck open with the smallest bit of fluff. As soon as this happens, which is now every 5 minutes - the vacuum basically becomes useless as when you turn the power off all the bits drop back onto the floor. It's not all bad, as the bin is still often quite full of dust - so it is picking stuff up. But it's the big crumbs/bits of fluff/dirt that you can see that it just dumps back on the floor. You can hear the bits rattle around the tube whilst it's on, as they somehow can't make it past the valve/flap.Emptying is relatively easy, but you have to do it so regularly to try and ensure the valve isn't stuck open that what should be a time-saver has turned into a long and frustrating process. The battery life for our device is actually OK, no major issues like others have reported.I foolishly missed some other reviews that say similar things about this issue. On calling them about the guarantee I was told:a) £125 charge if they deem it my fault (remember the Hoover cost less than that!)b) If they come out and they decided it's not a mechanical fault it's a £65 charge - even if they can't fix it!c) I can pay £2+ a month for some special extra cover to waive these charges...I feel like it's my fault for not reading all the reviews, but it got a good which.co.uk score despite some negative reviews here. In summary, I will be investing more and getting a Dyson next time - steer clear of this model.
