Pricey but delicious
Absolutely gorgeous taste (maybe a tad too much sherry) and decent amount will easily do two portions. A little pricey but a nice little indulgence every now and then.

A clever addition to one's pantry
A tinned product will never replace a home-made item. However, I keep these for emergencies: ie when I need beef stock NOW! The tinned flavour seems to recede considerably when alcohol is added... Just saying... Baxters are still superb at what they do.

Very versatile.
This is a great standby for a number uses. I use it to make gravy (the old fashioned way). On it's own it doesn't really taste of much, but when you add it to gravy it seems to come alive. It is also excellent as extra liquid in stews and any other similar dishes. I now keep a stock of these tins as I seem to use them quite frequently.

Versatile
I wasn’t too keen on this soup but it goes great in spaghetti bolognaise or beef stew so yes I enjoyed it.

Soup as a drink when sick.
Just as I wanted.

Delicious
Delicious, hearty beef consommé, more concentrated than broth; less so than stock/gravy; great for a warming winter pick me up and specially good for respiratory illnesses over the winter; not organic so only 4 stars.
