It's a dvd drive and it works, though I only use it for reading. Weirdly. Mentioning dvd drive got flagged as not meeting community guidelines! Well, neither do your silly adverts Amazon, clearly aimed at vulnerable people, nor do the couriers when they trample across grass instead of using the path, or when they drop parcels to the ground from waist height, when they don't knock and just leave parcels on the doorstep instead, nor when they leave the gate open to bang in the wind until it's damaged. The almost pointless tracking that simply says 'today', or when they change times repeatedly in tracking. Need to decide if this is worth renewing, I've mostly started shopping elsewhere, buying from here simply because I got used to it when it was decent.

Had been delivered broken. None of my 3 pc desktop were able to detect it. And each has a different version of windows. Also it hasn't been delivered a lite on product was a different company

CDプレイヤーの修理が出来たのを境にCDのクローン化を再開。今まで、使っていたLG社製のマルチドライブを新調。最近は、この手の5インチベイに入る内蔵のドライブは絶滅危惧種。Amazonで本製品を見つけ、絶滅前に保護することに。 クローン化には定番のEACソフトを利用。 早速、読み込みをすると、読み込み速度が0.3☓ となり、エラーも出る。 ここで、EACのドライブ設定をいろいろと試すが、一向に改善しない。まさか、初期不良品に当たってしまったのか? と思い、EACのセキュアモードでは無く、バーストモードで読み込むと20☓以上の速度で読み取る。 EACのセキュアモードの設定と業務用デュプリケーターとの相性問題なのか。奮闘すること、数時間（2日で）、あるAIがSATAポートのHOT PLUGをenableにしろ!と言うアドバイス。でも、HOT PLUGはUSBメモリーの抜き差しの設定のはず。 トンチンカンなアドバイスと思ったが、もうやる事が尽きていたため、最後の試しで、BIOSから、ドライブの繋がっているSATAポートのHOT PLUGをenableにすると、15☓以上の速度で読み込み成功。 トラブルの切り分けに再度、HOT PLUGをdisableに戻して、また、低速になるか試すも、速度は15☓を維持。 結局、何が原因かは分からないままですが、ちゃんと動きました。 ちなみに、EAC同様のセキュアモードでしっかりとリッピングするソフトをいくつか試しましたが、EAC以外はダメでした。エラー出ます。 しっかりとリッピングするのであれば、EACをお勧めします。 最後に、音は大変静かです。LGの時は、回転が速まると、結構回転音がしましたが、流石、プロ仕様の製品です。 後は、CD-Rメディアの選択さえ間違わなければ、完璧なクローンを作れそうです。 追加：本製品をWindowsPCで使う場合、音楽CDをリアルタイムストリーミング再生すると、ノイズが乗ります。CDのクローン化をして、焼いたCD-Rのチェックは、このドライブで行うとノイズが乗ります。もちろん、CDプレーヤーや他のドライブではノイズは乗りません。私は、このことに気が付かず、同じCDを2回、CD-Rに焼いてしまいました。ご注意ください。

I got this to install into an external optical drive USB enclosure in which the drive had failed. This fit perfectly and works well. I mainly use it for reading discs, not writing them. Seems to have no issues reading anything I've put into it (except of course Blu-Rays, which it is not designed to handle). Nice unit from a recognized OEM provider brand.

これより前に販売されていた、LITEON・IHAS324-17を使っていての買換えだが 全くそのモデルは継承されていない…というか別物 買った後で気づいたが、そもそもDVD書き込み最大速度が16倍と、IHAS324-17の24倍に対して遅い こちらの方が後発モデルなので、その辺あまり気にしていなかった… DVDディスクだが、まず読み取れるまでの時間が長い… そして他のドライブで読み込めるものが、読み取れなくウインウイン唸りを上げ、読み取れない事しばしば… DVDでのドライブ使用メインの者としては、チョット使い物にならない おそらく型式からいって、10数年以上前のモデル～PLDS DH-16ACSHに手を加えた焼き直し品だろう これより少し高いが、M-DISCにも対応している、IODATA・DVR-S24Qにすれば良かった…
