If you like Thin Mints, you will love these bars. They taste like you are eating cookies, it's hard to just eat one. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is a few of the bars in my box were stale. It was strange - most of the ones I ate were perfect, but about three of them were almost inedible. I probably just had a bad batch mix in with the rest of them, so I still recommend these. For around 200 calories, you get a great little snack, pre or post workout that satisfies a sweet tooth. The texture is also amazing. They have a little crunch due to the oats, but at the same time sort of melt in your mouth - YUM! My fellow Thin Mint lovers need these!

I read about these when doing research on alternatives to Soylent. They got good reviews, so I figured I would order a box.First impression when I opened the box is: "wow, those are small." I buy a fair amount of powerbars and had expected something about the same size - they are more like the size of a peppermint patty or ~40% of the size of a powerbar.Flavor is ok - kinda of a bitter chocolate. The lack of sugar is noticeable, but not unpleasant. No real texture. Bar kind of melts in your mouth - quite a change from the chewiness of powerbars.Second impression: "I paid 30 dollars for 12 of these?" Did I mention that the bars are small? They are really freaking small. Usually, if I eat a powerbar, it will have a appreciable effect on my appetite. I don't feel at all different after eating one of these - no drop in hunger at all.Ingredients seem decent - though that isn't a huge concern for me.Summary: at least for me, its too little food for too much money. Not only are they not a meal replacement, but they aren't even a snack replacement. I won't buy again. Some people may have different priorities.

So my first order of these showed up with an open box and half the bars missing... so not a great start. They did do a quick replacement and got the new box out in 2 days. I really like that these bars are organic and vegan. The taste is awesome, compared to other bars. The sugars are a little higher than I’d like, but i had read they sweeten them with coconut nectar, which has a low glycemic index. So ultimately i guess it’s better than traditional sugar.

When I purchase these individually at Whole Foods the chocolate and peanut butter inside is creamy and usually good. The box I purchased from here is stale. The chocolate is flaky and milky in color and tastes stale. I don't see an expiration date but they sure seem to be expired. The chocolate on the mint ones I bought from the other order were fine. I'm very disappointed.They replaced the first box and the second box was great! Thank you! They are just like the ones I get at Whole Foods singles. !! Thank you Thank you!!!!

These Cocoa Crunch Squarebars are super delicious, in my opinion, and I appreciate their qualities like being dairy-free. I hope this company never changes the recipe, as happened with Vega bars. I will say I have found that each box can be of varying freshness. The last batch I received (I do subscribe & save when it is available for this item) was so fresh. Also, in the past, when I've ordered in the very height of summer, the bars have seemingly melted then reformed to make a flaky mess. So the only caveat, besides the highish price, is that these are not good to order when it is very hot outside in my experience. Love them overall and hope they keep being available through subscribe & save.

These serve me well on long days when I don't have time for a lunch break and must rely on snacks. They are fairly tasty, but I don't crave them like my husband does. He is crazy for these things and insists on having them even though I don't think they're very cost-effective. If you just have to have these bars, be sure to sign up for Squarebar emails with the company. Often they run promos and send 25% off coupons with free shipping. It's almost always cheaper (than Amazon) to buy through the company if you use their promo code.

Overall great product. Good flavor and texture. A great way to add plant based protein to a meal. Only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is because they’re a little pricey for 10 grams of protein, but of course you get what you pay for. Last point is I would like to see less sugar in this product.

The bars that I received through Amazon shipping had been exposed to heat which causes "chocolate bloom" – the cocoa butter separates and rises to the surface which causes discoloration. It’s perfectly safe to eat, but it is not pretty and the texture of the chocolate changes undesirably (it tastes dry or stale).I emailed Squarebar and they immediately responded to my email and corrected the problem.If you buy from them directly, they ship the bars on ice so that they stay soft and pretty.I will do this in the future!Great tasting bars, perfect for my pre-workout snack and a company with integrity!
