I only ever buy this for my hair!! Great texture, smells good. Tip for using it.... use a hair dryer to melt it down a bit and it spreads better and goes in easier if you have thick hair like I do

The media could not be loaded. From constumer videos on the web, the product should be soft and easy to apply. The one I got is rigid and difficult to apply.

This is a very dry product! I have fine blonde hair that can be quite limp, so this is good for getting volume without having to stick it in place with something more aggressive. I don't dislike the smell, it's a bit like wood (so it's masculine) but it's not really similar any other hair product I've owned.I know this is common advice for hair product, but don't use too much of this at a time. It just doesn't work like that, you'll get in a mess. Doesn't wash out too easily but I'd rather compromise on this than have something that will let my hair go limp by lunch time.

Very good product for those who are interested in using it for a medium length styling. Love the smell - it's kind of like toffee cinnamon scent.I have fine hair and it gives a very matt texture with a natural and dry finish which I like. However, I do feel like I need to wash my hair more often than usual due to the amount of product build up when adding to the style every day. Without a doubt recommend if you're a serious lover of all day holding products!

This is my son's favourite styling product. He says it gives him great hold, yet is flexible enough to reshape when needed, plus it's not heavy and sticky on his hair. This is only his 2nd tub of goo as it lasts so long. User tip: he uses the end of an old toothbrush to prise out the amount of wax he wants to use, as it doesn't come out easily just using fingers.

I gave this a try after the last two tins of Seven Potions and Reuzel Clay Matt Pomade I purchased seemed to be inferior to what I'd bought before. They seemed to go from a clay or almost toffee consistency to a cream, and they just didn't hold my hair in place anymore.I went with Rough Rider after reading the reviews. Here's what I found:PROS:- It's a true matt finish.- It smells gorgeous (like cinder toffee apple).- It's tough to dig out of the tub, so it's got the clay consistency I wanted.CONS:- You have to work hard to emulsify it in your hands.- It doesn't wash off your hands as easily as some other products.- I experienced some snagging when applying it.I could cope with all of these cons, but its the lack of hold that really lets this product down.I have fine hair, but there's a lot of it. I style it in either a 5 inch fauxhawk or modern pomp and once I've styled it for the day, I want minimal movement from it! The Rough Rider just couldn't do this. It looked great for a few minutes but then seems to collapse under its own weight, regardless of how much or how little of it I used.I give this a strong 3 out of 5 because there are a lot of things to like about this product - it just doesn't quite work for what I need it to do.
