Ginger Tabby "Sleeping & Breathing" Kitten by Perfect/Precious Petzzz - New Soft Version

I read lots of reviews before purchasing this cat, I did my homework! My mum has Alzheimer's and I read that dementia patients found a lot of comfort with this toy. However, I have to say that this was not our experience at all. Firstly, the toy is really hard, I was expecting something soft and cuddly. If it purrs then it's the quietest purr ever because I can't hear it. It is possible to see the "breathing" though. So, it's definitely not a toy you can cuddle as it's completely rigid. On the other hand, it is quite realistic, but that was really the cause of the problem with my mum. You see, because it never moved, she kept thinking that it was dead and saying, "Poor cat, someone should get rid of it it's going to start smelling soon." So it was a bit of a disaster for us and is now hidden away in the cupboard.

My elderly mother who suffers from dementia ADORED this gift. We gave it to her for her 90th Birthday.She kind of knows it's not real but she treats it as if it is a real pet.Highly Recommended for elderly folk.It does appear to breathe and you can hear a purr.We thought it was a bit hard - goodness knows what the old version was like - (and slightly creepy) but my Mum loves it.An on/off switch would improve this toy and save battery power.

I bought this for my mum to give her a little comfort as she was very ill. The item is good, it does look like a real kitten sleeping, my two ginger toms were very curious at first.soft and comforting,very little maintenance, but a comfort to aging parents who cant have real animals.Excellent delivery and packaging, (Thank you to the seller) I enquired as to whether next day delivery could be done, but they didn't offer that option. However, had it not been a bank holiday weekend we would have had the item 3 days after purchase

It looks very sweet. The curled up position is most realistic and lifelike. The purring is realistic and relaxing. However, although humans can breathe abdominally if they want to do so I don’t know if cats can!I would expect the. battery compartment to be rigid but not the whole cat. There is no on/off switch so eventually the cat will ease to breathe. D batteries appear too large for purpose but anyway I shall have to cut through some fabric to find the second screw to access the battery. Final point - I have not yet met such strange stripes on any cat! I would have bought the black and white one if it purred. For now it lies purring happily on a chair and is pleasant company.

We love it. It should be a present for our granny (exactly: husband's mum with some dementia), but we want it too. Ordered the next one. Grey for a change. Should purr - this is not a big deal for producer. Hard, not for hugging, but looks great and funny, as a decor in our hall, on a shelf under a mirror.

We bought this as a bit of a joke present for our daughter (we have 2 real cats also) and it was surprisingly lifelike. Although not as soft as you'd expect (It's plastic inside obviously) it does look realistic. With the battery in, the movement keeps catching your eye and does look realistic. The sound of purring isn't quite right as sounds a little mechanical but as a little gift it's really good

She sleeps on the dashboard of the motorhome and is lovely and calming, especially when being cut up/run off the road by yet another black German car. She actually hates German cars and I know she'd poop on their bonnets if she could. She does tend to sleep a lot but with all that BMW stress it's no wonder.

Not as described. Very poor quality. Very difficult to get battery out to switch it off. Item had to be returned as per sellers instructions - which I did do. This cost me £8.70 with no refund. Item not suitable for the elderly or anyone with arthritic hands
