I purchased this printer to use for our small business office. I had assumed it printed 11x17, but that was my fault. It will however print your standard size as well as legal size paper, envelopes, etc. using it's feeder tray. Set up was not difficult. Simply connected it into the network, and connected the computers to the printer via the printer's IP address. You do have to install the drivers on each computer. I recommend downloading the drivers from the website, that way you will be getting the newest drivers. Canon's website was actually harder to navigate, then it was setting up the printer.The printer will run you through all the steps and in about 15 minutes you are printing your first copies. Color reproduction is very good and the colors are vivid and bright and the depth of color is excellent. Shadows can get a little dark, so adjust your blacks in photos. Skin tones are very very good. No bleeding on standard paper and no smearing on photo paper. From sleep mode to print, it's very responsive. Less than 10 seconds to warm up. This printer does default to two-sided printing, so be sure to uncheck the box in your dialogue settings if you want to print single-sided. And you will have to do this every time you print. That is the one quip, I have of this printer. At this time, I haven't printed in high volume, so I don't know if it holds to its ppm.There is only one tray for paper. You do have the option of a second tray, if you purchase one. The Canon shipped on a crate. Very sturdy durable packaging. The printer is quite large and heavy, so be sure to have room. It will not fit on a normal printer stand. It will take two people to lift it. A dolly will work if you need to move it. Once un-boxed it is a bit more manageable to move.Overall, I've been very satisfied with this Canon printer. The quality and performance are great.

We expected this printer to print faster than our previous HP color printer, but it's slower and the color isn't as vibrant. Other than that it seems to be working fine. The first one we purchased had to be sent back, as it never worked. There were multiple visits from a Canon Tech, but we finally ended up sending it back. The return process was awesome without any problems.

I love this printer. Needed a printer that would produce volume with speed, and this is definitely the one. No problems so far...and I've printed regular 20lb paper, card stock, 24 and 28 lb paper with no trouble. The 500 sheet tray is awesome! I can work on additional projects while I am printing without having to stop and load. Love it. Just the printer if you have heavy volume printing. The color is great...produces lifelike prints.

Toner sensor was broken out of the box, error code E020-0000, the machine is not useable until their technician comes to fix it, no ETA given, just that a technician will call within 1-2 business days to set up a time to come fix it.

Canon makes an excellent printer I wouldn't think twice about recommending this one. I also have a Canon ImageClass D1180, both these printers are great machines. Maybe a little overkill for home use but who cares?, great quality.
