MONTANA DECOY Fanatic Reaping Decoy

I purchased this decoy based on the success of one of my hunting buddies. He's taken 4-5 gobblers by keeping this in front of him and walking to them. I've only tried it once with no success; however, it's just one more "trick" in the turkey hunter's bag that might just work on a given day. If I've got a gobbler that is hanging up, I'll try this along with my gobble tube as a challenge to the real bird.

Overall this is a great fan. I have called in and fold lots of turkeys with it. Jake’s sometimes get scared by it, but that makes sense. I’ve also had a gang of Jake’s surround me with just me behind this in a wheat field while crouching.I broke my first one from one season after trying to fold it the wrong way. I guess if forced it. User error, but felt like it broke surprisingly easy.For future design, the folding stake seems to be wearing against the internal cord when it is folded. It cut through my first one as well. Overall great product that could be even better with some minor improvements.

Folds up like a sun shade for your car windshield which is awesome to fit in the pack. Visually looks like a turkey. Stake folds and it attached with bundgie so it wont be easily lost. If staked down the whole thing will twist in the wind showing the 2d. Will be looking for a way to keep it in the forward facing direction.Hope this bia works.

Item received not item depicted in photos, the decoy I received is more curved and does NOT have the fringe on the top edge to mimic real feathers. Also the stitching in some areas where the materials are tight has started to get lose and will probably not last long in the field....time will tell. I did give it 3 stars only because its ability to fold down and the quality of the picture on the decoy.

Saved my butt this year when an old tom got spooky. pulled it out when he went out of sight and when it sprung open. I held it where he could see it and he came right in. Probably not your go to decoy for strutters, but great for limited circumstances such as described. Great for last minute use because it opens quickly with one hand if needed.

I’ve stalked turkey before and it’s quite challenging. When I heard about these reaping decoys I had my doubts. After a friend used one and successfully crawled within 20 yards of a tom I knew I had to try it out. My only response is wow.........quite the adrenaline rush.

Great product well made...no bulky decoys for me anymore...used as regular decoy and trolled him in to twenty yards...reaped another for the first time into 15 feet what a thrill..looking through the peep hole .supper exciting..buy onw and have a BLAST.

Not worth the money. Broke after three times in the field. Will not fold up.
