ASURION 3 Year Electronics Protection Plan ($500 - $599.99)

The product I bought had a 3 year manufacturers warranty and if Asurion's "warranty" starts the day you buy the item, then it's a useless duplication of the factory warranty. Who dreams this stuff up?

The policy confirmation code and information related to the automatic registration of the protection plan is sent to the email registered to your amazon account. I unfortunately do not have access to that email address, but their customer support (I spoke with Julia) was swift to help and give me a copy of that email so that I can make use of the protection plan if I ever need to.It is also quite a reasonably priced protection plan, at about 11% of the cost of the insured product for a 3 year plan. At officedepot or walmart you can expect that to be at least 30% most of the time.

Could they possibly make this process more complicated? My advice just go ahead and Call them

This plan runs concurrent with the manufactures warranty and is not an add-on, so with a 2 year manufactures warranty you only get 1 year additional warranty with the purchase of a 3-year plan. NOT worth the money!

I get the insurance for big ticket items and when i think manufactures is crud. I buy it on big ticket items.

A request has been submitted to have a refund issued for a faulty product. Addition has not responded back.

I loved how they kept me informed regarding where they were in the repair/ replacement process. When the item couldn't be fixed they issued an Amazon refund almost immediately.

Don’t need the Warranty package as product was defective and was sent back please credit warranty charge
