Pretty good but outdated
Good but rather outdated! The photos are clearly from the 90s-very early 2000s though this matches the publish date.Nice to have as a reference on the shelf but not a reliable source of up-to-date information given it came out 20 years ago. Also very good for beginners and fairly vague on general care. Not very much available for intermediate/advanced owners but fairly good. A lot on the morphs in this book too.

Good book - covers everything
I have kept my cornsnake for nearly a year and had got everything I needed to know from the forums at cornsnake.co.uk but you can't go wrong having a real book to hand. Although obviously written by americans all the info translates across nicely (you can simply ignore the section on live feeding if you only feed freeze/thawed like me). It's a good reference book and some of the pictures are gorgeous. Especially good is the section of morphs which takes up the last half/third of the book - all with pictures and histories of the morphs. Physically the book is smaller than I expected (A5) but is of great quality.

It definitely provides information on all aspects but
it lacks the detail, everything is very high level, and when it starts to describe the detail, the topic finishes, and the key info not there! It is a good generic, firs book you may wish to buy, if you are thinking of having a pet corn snake.

'Cornsnake' Manual.
It's a handy book but doesn't cover things like 'How much to feed & when?' Temperature of vivarium plus usual sort of things needed to know.

Great compact info
I have bought several books over the years and if you are just setting out in keeping snakes or want some information before you decide on a pet then this is a great book. Packed with information as you would expect, plus a handy size to keep close by.It is a great book and even though I have had snakes for some years now, I still like to keep all my original books handy to have the information nearby, there is always something to learn

Looks a little dated now, given the newer texts ...
Looks a little dated now, given the newer texts available about corn snakes, but very comprehensive, nonetheless. Not really a book for beginners but well-suited to the seasoned herpetologist, this book is still a worthy companion to the other books I have on the subject.

A starter guide.
It has everything you need to know to adopt your first corn snake.

good book, loads of detail and info if needed
good book, loads of detail and info if needed. not so great for 5yr old who is snake mad but looking more so for pictures. There are a few but it's majority text based - good for first time owners.
