Solid stuff
Great and fun, takes time to put together so if putting together is not your thing dont buy it, if you have the patience it's well worth it

Good hoop and great value
Seems sturdy, looks good. Took about 3.5 hrs to assemble. I like the sand, plus water section for the weight. The net isn't really movable once the weights are added.Only complaint is the backboard seems loose and wopples a bit with each shot. The instructions are very specific about how to tighten certain nuts and I'm not sure if these were fully tightened it would solve the issue. I went back and tightened these nuts more than recommended but still didn't improve the sturdiness of the backboard, so not sure what the cause is. It may be just how it's made.

Hybrid base and acrylic backboard for $300!
I bought this hoop because of 3 reasons. 1) the hybrid base. I store my hoop in the garage, and it is so easy to remove sandbags as opposed to draining after every use. 2) the acrylic backboard at an affordable price. 3) Best price for a hybrid base and an acrylic backboard.Assembly took about 3 hours. It does require two people in my opinion. I cannot blame someone if they pay for optional assembly. It wasn't crazy difficult but still 3 hours of your time and effort. My only complaint is that after making certain shots, the ball hits the base causing the ball to go in unexpected directions.I would buy this product again.

Worst hoop i ever owned
This is my SECOND of this item. The backboard is so shaky the entire hoop rocks everywhere when you shoot a shot. It also tipped over 3 times and broke. First one broke by tipping over and second one broke by tipping over in wind. Unbelievable! This item needs to be pulled off the market. I have been playing ball for 25 years and got this for my kids to play in the yard.

Decent, could be better
It looks great. The entire backboard shakes quite a bit when the ball hits the rim. I thought it would be tighter, it seems cheap in that sense. But it is pretty heavy and strong, the breakaway arena slam rim is nice. The ball bounces nicely off the backboard. Assembly was pretty easy, took me about an hour and a half. I would say it’s worth the $ 350ish or whatever it’s currently at, but certainly wouldn’t say it’s “top of the line”. But is better than average overall. The net that comes with it is cheap thin junk. Also, it’s dumb that you have to drill holes in the backboard to put the pads on-which aren’t really pads, but just hard plastic for looks. They do include the drill bit though.

The kids love it!
Product seems great so far. Paid to have Amazon come out and assemble it. Took the service guy about two hours. Well worth it!

great IF you are good at modifications
There are, as is all too common, bad engineering aspects, but if you are mechanically inclined they are easily and cheaply fixed to make a solid, no rattle, backboard, stand, and hoop. One primary complaint is that backboard rattles. This due to 2 things. One is that instructions tell you to tighten lock nuts to point where bolt is flush with end of nut. This should read as tighten to a MINIMUM. You should not stop tightening when flush as this will leave things loose. Second is that long bolts holding together bars/pipes that pivot for adjustable hoop height should have a washer at bolt head and at nut end, THEN very important to have rubber washer between the pipes that will pivot against each other. The washers (metal and rubber) eliminate rattle and maintain tightness. I used basic rubber (NOT plastic) garden hose washers.Another key point is there is a bit of an art to tightening bolts on any round metal tube. You want them tight but need to know when to stop before causing tube to distort/collapse/bend. Once tube is crushed even the slightest bit it becomes impossible to maintain long term tightness without significant modifications. Ideally these type of items would provide torque specifications even if not practical for most customers.
