No, this remote only controls the device to which the USB receiver is connected.

Q: Does this work with blu ray players?

If your player supports USB input devices (like keyboards and mice), this remote will work with it. However, this remote was designed for media center use and is probably not the best choice as a replacement remote for Blu-ray players.
