How long does it keep your beverage hot?

Hot like you just put it in about an hour. Hot to Warmer than room temperature 6-8hrs depending on your room temperature (in and out of cold car vs. just in the house or office.

Can this be put in the dish washer? The instructions say hand wash only

I put mine in the dishwasher...not sure why it says that.

Will the liquid spill if I shake the bottle?

The lid slides closed but I would say some droplets would certainly fly around if you’re shaking it. It doesn’t seal like a martini shaker. Not sure what you’re up to. Haha, good luck! These are great cups though. Keeps ice well and a good size for cocktails.
